First, I want to thanks the scores of you who wrote to me, posted on my profile and showed so much love and concern. You guys are the best and this is truly a family on this board. As many of you know, I have my surgery on Wednesday. While in the recovery room, I developed an arrythmia (A Ventriticular Fibulation) which caused my heart beat to drop under 20 bpm and my heart rythem was all over the place. God is good, and they were able to stablize me. Then, I could not urinate, so they had to put in a Foley cathether. They removed it before I was discharged, and I was, after trying for hours, able to urinate a small trickle. When I got home, I experienced the same thing all over again. About 3AM, I was in so much pain, I had to go to the local Emergency room where they insertered anothey Foley. These Foleys are not a lot of fun!!! I just got off the phone with a ureologist, and this thing, with the ever present BAG will be in for at least a wee****il I see him next Thursday. I also have a postrate infection for which I am taking antibiotics. This has been a very rough week, I am feeling everything everyone here said I would feel from the procedure (soreness, gas, no appetite, tired, etc.) but I can't seem to relax and recuperate. Please continue to keep me in your prayers. God is good and I trust that He has all this under control, and will use it all for good. Sorry for rambling! Please continue to remember me in your prayers and my God richly bless you all! Ron

Ron... It will get better every day. I know it does not exactly feel like it right now...but it will! Be sure to take your pain medicine. Pain interferes with the healing process. Hopefully, you will be able to relax soon. It takes time. Some people can't even sleep in their bed for a while...but I was able to. I will tell you though...it was a pain getting in and out! Hang in there...and before you know it...this will all be a distant memory! Stephanie

Hi Ron, I am sorry to hear you are suffering more than a normal post-op would. I will pray for you to experience peace, and rest, so you can recuperate and heal. A verse comes to mind for me to give you right now. "Be still and know that I am God." Also, God loves you with an everlasting love. Meditate on these truths as you ride out this time period in your recuperation. Know that you are loved by the Board here, the Body of Christ, but most important, the Lord Himself. Hugs, Trish

Ron, May the Lord be your comfort from this moement on and may He who knows how you are formed bring healing to the areas that need healing. May you experience His love and grace as never before during this time and may He shows His loving kindness to you. Just try to rest..I know it is hard for men to be still but try. This is a process and things do not change over night. But they will change. You will feel stronger and you will see your body change and you will be amazed at the difference between weeks 1-6 and 7-12....they are enormous. The first 6 weeks are the most hard to adjust to but each step will help you. Just read His Word and be encouraged and obey the rules the Docs give you. Try to sip, sip, and walk when you can. May the Lord keep you in His care and encourage you today. In Christ, Joan M
