Friday coffee talk
Good Friday morning. Guess what? The weekend is almost here! WOO HOO! Any big plans? We have a family reunion on Joie's side of the family and they called to remind us to make sure we are there. Most of these people haven't seen me since WLS so I am excited to see them. They are a great bunch of folks.
Our challenge today is to not look at the WOW, look at the HOW! My Pastor's wife and I were talking last week and I just blurted that out. I told her I feel a sermon coming on out of that. Too often, we look at our cir****tances and let them overwhelm us. We look at the WOW. The WOW is the cir****tance it's self. If we look at the WOW, we can get caught up in worry, fear, and depression. Let's look at the HOW! How can this be fixed? How can I solve my WOW! Is it really a WOW at all? Sometimes our WOW's are not as big as we think in our minds. Choose today to find the HOW in every situation you face!
SO! Who's up? What cha sippin' on this morning? Me? I'm sipping on my 1/2 caff. There is just something about that 1st cup of the day. So good and smooth!
I hope you all have a wonderful, blessed, and HOW day! Randall
WOW what a great challenge. Thanks Randall. I used to go to this weight loss group that HOW stood for honesty, open mindedness, and willingness and I needed a reminder. I have been focused on my WOW not being what I want it to be instead of HOW to get there and I started writing everything down again yesterday including doing my exercises. I wrote my food down and totaled up the calories and was shocked how much those little sunflower seeds are that I much on all the time.
My granddaughter is coming home from Vacation Bible Camp today and I am so excited to see her and hear all the stories she will have to tell. I missed her something fierce but I know she had a very great time. This was the first time she had been away from me since she was born and she is ten.
I am sippin' on my usual Gevalia with Caramel, Vanilla, SF Coffeemate.
Blessings right back at ya,
Sandyd
It is 1:45 in Texas and I am sipping Lipton Cranberry/Pomegranette green tea. This doesn't say MORNING coffee talk does it? I didn't even get the coffee right LOL. Today my kids are coming home from church camp, thinking that I and hubby have had surgery. I have been doing a little bit of nothing all day. I reserve that right until August when school starts back. I am fixin to go into cleaning mode and get this house all back together. I just spent the morning planning my cleaning strategy, yea that's it.
Man this past Wednesday could have been a WOW moment, when the air was let out of my bubble about the surgery. I am just holding on to what I do when I get stuck in traffic when I am late.... for some reason God doesn't want me there right now, and I will get there when it is safe for me to be there. Impatience is something I have to work on all the time, especially in Dallas traffic.
Nothing really planned for this weekend, except going to the school tomorrow and finishing my classroom, so I won't have anything to be concerned about after surgery next Wed.

Hi Bobbie! I was reading about your sick doctor, what a bummer!!! Are you still scheduled for the 19th?? I hope so, that must have been such a let down. But it is good to know that God is in control and that could have been a very good thing.
God bless you, Candy
Oh my! It's almost Saturday for you guys!!! I'm usually so late for posting here.
Randall - what a great challenge! I hope and pray that your reunion is a sweet time of remembering your wife and that the bonds of family prove to strengthen and edify you!
We are hosting my nephew's 1st birthday this weekend. It should be great. His mom, my sister-in-law, gets very nervous about these things, so I said - just have it at our house, and we'll share the responsibilities. It's funny cuz she'll say things like - I can't believe you can have people over and not worry about cleaning your house! - Um, is my house dirty??? She's just a little tackless - but I remember - she doesn't know the Lord, so I need to shine like Jesus before her. Water off a ducks back right?
I'm working on a glass of water - not too exciting, but it's good to do what's good for myself.
Talk to you all later!
