Hello all you Christians out there. How was your 4th of July? Hope you got to see a lot of fireworks and eat some good protein and veggies. I had some wonderful BBQ'd chicken with green beans and chopped salad that was YUMMY. Because of all the missle testing with N. Korea, I thought I would do some research on them. Did you know, according to World Watch List 2006, N. Korea is the Number 1 country for severe persecution to Christians? Let's all pray for our brethren there who are being imprisioned, raped, and tortured. We enjoy so much freedom here that we sometimes do not realize what is going on in the rest of the world. Oh, I was inspired to start the Verse of the day message. Hope you all are edified by it. In love, sandyd

Hi Sandy - the 4th was pretty good. I've been feeling really low in energy lately, and that made me pretty lazy. Lot's of emotional stuff going on at home with 2 teens who have walked away from the Lord and are playing in the enemy's playground. I will stand upon the word of the Lord that He will bring them back and that those who are committed to Him, He will keep. And - this verse that is my anchor! Jeremiah 31:15-17 Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border. Have a good one! - Carolyn

I can sooooo.....empathize with your concern about your two children. I have two grown children who have made a similar choice. Thanks for your encouraging words from the scriptures. Hugs, sandyd
