Hi Everyone, I am so thankful to have found out that this board is here, I had no idea. My name is Loni and I live in Texas and I'm married and have 4 children. 3 grown and out on they're own and a starting over 4 yr. old that just make life so interesting and awesome. Hi Loni, I am also new to this message board. In fact, this is my first post. I live in Texas and also have four children, three of which are grown. My oldest son leaves for Iraq this month. My baby just turned 16. Anyway, perhaps we can keep in touch. I need a good Christian support system as I am struggling with weight gain. I know the Lord provided this surgery for me to use to His glory....I don't want to go back to where I came from. I KNOW He'll give me the strength and the wisdom to get back on track. Teresa, It's so nice to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you. I pray for your son's safety while he is in Iraq and your peace of mind. I would love to be here for you and maybe we can help each other with our weight gains. I've gained 5 pounds recently and I"m so scared that I will gain more and I"m trying really hard to get it off, but it just doesn't want to come off. Teresa, I just wanted to welcome you. I too had my surgery in 2002 and am trying my hardest not to gain. I've gained about 5 pounds or so and try not to let myself gain more than that. Anyway, I know where you are coming from. It helps me to weigh everyday so that I know where I am at. Have a blessed day! Shel

Hi Loni and Everyone, Loni you have made a great decision to join us here. I have only been on here a month or so and already made great friends and have gotten great advice. You can't beat the support you get from fellow brothers and sisters in Christ! I live in Pennsylvania and have been married for 12 years, I know that doesn't sound like long, but it does if I tell you I am only 29 years old. LOL! I have been blessed with 2 children ages 10 and my youngest will be 3 on Saturday. I am pre-op and in my 2 month of a 6 month requied diet plan. We plan for a Lap Rny in late December or Early January. I can't wait to be on the losing side. I started out at 343 an already am down to 315. What a difference it made! I just can't wait to see what the Lord has in mind for me in the future, when I can actually can do most things I couldn't before! Any way, God bless and keep in touch! Kelly, I'm so happy to meet you. My family was from Pennsylvania and I was born in Deleware, my uncle lives in Paoli. You are doing great with your weightloss so far, I'm so happy for you. December is a good month for surgery, I had mine in December in "04" and I"m so happy with my results. God has great plans for you, keep up the awesome work that you are doing. Take care, Loni

Hello Loni..my name is Joan and I have a grown, married daughter 35yrs old and a 13 year old daughter who I homeschool. Yes, the Lord's does have a way of making us know how we need His strength...at 56yrs old I would not have chosen this path, but His path is greater! And both daughters are such a joy to me. I also have three wonderful grandchildren. Two girls and a boy. I am glad you joined this site. I am originally from Maryland but left there at age 30 and moved to CA. I now live in SC. Welcome Loni!! We are so glad that you found us. I'm originally from Arkansas but we now live in Georgia. My family still lives in Arkansas.
