Update on my children
I want to thank you all who have been asking about Torey and Allison. I've had e mails asking for updates on them. They are doing good. Each and every day is a challenge. A LOT of days, they are my strength. Of course you know as well as I do that the Lord is my strength, but (if this makes sense) I do draw strength from seeing them and how they react to things. It means the world to me when they come up and just hug me for no reason. When they make me laugh. When they are just sitting there starring into space and I KNOW they are thinking about their Momma. Allison passed everything in school with ALL "A's" and "B's"! She will be in the 7th Grade next year. Ball season is FINALLY over this year for her. Torey passed everything too with B's and C's. I am so amazed and blessed by them. I am proud of their grades after what they have been through this year. Torey was disappointed in his grades until I explained to him after what he's been through he should be as proud as I was. I'm simply amazed at their strength. My Mom is still alive and as an adult, I can't imagine the day (and do not want to do so) that she will pass. I can't believe the strength they have. I DO know that it comes straight from GOD! I am so glad that He made the promise to us in Hebrews 13:5, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. God will be there with HIS awesome strength every time we need HIM!
Please continue to pray for my two babies. They don't like for me to call them that, but they will ALWAYS be my babies. We have become so much closer these last 5 months. I love that! We have always been close, but man......I love my babies!
Ya'll have a blessed and wonderful day! Thanks for letting me ramble on.
Thanks for the update, Randall. Ya'll are on my prayer list and I think about your "babies" often. There is a part of Joie that will live on through them and you will see it grow. It is amazing that even though her daily influence is no longer there, they will continue to take on her traits as well as your own.
God is so good and He is faithful. We never have to wonder where He is.
This is part of a poem I am working on about when the world seems its darkest.
"When the darkness closes in around me and I cannot see the way...
Where is God, has He left me, what has happened to the day?
It is then I realize the darkness isn't coming from the sky.
But I am hid 'neath the shelter of His wing,
I'm the apple of His eye!"

Randall, Thanks for the update. It sounds as if the Lord is really doing wonders for all of you. We can never explain the peace and strength of God to others or even understand it ourselves...until we need it and experience it. But Jesus is faithful to us and will never leave us or forsake us. You do not realize how much a blessing you and your families testimony is to the body of Christ. May He continue to use you and strengthen you for all He calls you to. I did ask how the Sunday message went but didn't get a response. But I know the Lord is faithful to His Word.
In Christ,
Joan M
Hey Joan! Thank you for your kind words. I'm so sorry I didn't respond to your asking about the Sunday sermon. I don't like to brag on myself, but I CAN brag on God! I know anytime the WORD goes forth it will not return void. I think it went great! I felt right at ease and the anointing of God always makes the difference! You are too kind to ask! God bless you my friend! Randall
