Praise God for a last night
Last night I had one of those wonderful teaching opportunities with my daughter. She had just tried out for her cheer leading team and did not make the team. She was devistated. We talked and prayed and talked and prayed. Then she said, God I know you know what is best for my life and I accept your decision. Then exactly at that time, the phone rang and it was the coach calling to tell her that one girl was moving away and she had the next highest score and could be on the team. That little girl will NEVER forget the impact of that moment when she surrender her will to God's will and received a major blessing. Praise be to GOD! Kim M.
Kim, we can talk to our children about faith and God's enduring love, but moments like this are what it is all about. Seeing them learn from experience is awesome. Those lessons never leave them and only serve as "miracle grow" for their faith. And it teaches us to be more like children when approaching God for ourselves.
Kim, How great for you and for her. These steps of faith and surrender are how we grow in the Lord and learn to trust His plan for our life even when it seems to go against what we thought was His plan. It is so great when we see the Lord stretch our children and see their response to Him. Hope you are doing great surgery date SIS.
In Christ,
Joan M
Thanks Joan, It was so neat to see her faith grow and she has shared her experience with others time and time again. I am so excited for her. I am doing ok surgery wise. I am cold all of the time and one of my incision sites is aching a little for some reason. I am not doing to hot with the pureed foods unless it is like pudding or creamed soups. Everthing else still makes me vomit. How about you? Kim M.
