I haven't posted on here in a long time and really didn't post but one time. Maybe I will post more often now. I'm 4 years out with gastric by pass surgery and am doing fine. On Jan 17 2002 I had my surgery and 3 weeks later was in a car accident. I'm so blessed to be alive and God has been so good to me. I was 317 lbs to begin with and now I'm 130 lbs. and have stayed that weight a long time. I still have to be careful not to eat anything with more than 3g of sugar, nothing with a lot of fat and still eat small portions, but I've here. I can walk and I can breath. Before my gastric bypass surgery I could not walk to my kitchen without being out of breath, or to my couch. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. Just thought I'd give my 2 cents worth. God Bless you

Congratulations on your astounding success! I am curious, I thought we could have up to 9 grams of sugar. I have been very careful about that, but I have found when I eat no sugar added ice cream or a power bar with that many sugar grams, I am very uncomfortable. I have never dumped, but it feels like mini dumping if that makes sense. Any comments?

It's probably the sugar alcohols. They have a laxitive effect on some people. I have to be very careful of eating foods with sugar alcohols in it...I will be on the toliet all night...yuck. Dawn
