Glad to hear from you - you had me worried.  But I am glad to hear that it is life that is getting in the way and not complications.  I wonder what the lump is - hopefully nothing other than some kind of fatty tissue that found its way in an odd place.  The whole purpose of going through this was to not find a lump.  UGH.  Sounds like you are able to start getting back to your normal life - I would think the fatigue will go away eventually.  I did not experience that but you had the surgeries much closer together than I did.  Your body didn't have the chance to fully recover from one when you had the other.  So that may take some time.  Just make sure that your labs are good - don't want to wind up with a vitamin or iron deficiency on top of everything else.  Sorry to hear about your roommate.  This is a tough age to be listening to all of the things that are happening to our friends.  I go to way too many viewings and funerals these days.  Sending you good thoughts - have a great day.

I am doing a lot better now!! Turns out the rny ended up making me very hypoglycemic! I cut most carbs back out of my diet and now everything is leveling out and I've started losing all the weight I gained!

Just checking in to see how you are doing Hoping that the iron issues are getting better along with the rest of your recovery.
I am doing good. Experiencing a little bit of swelling still in my ankles by the end of the day. I started wearing spanx during the day and that seems to be helping some. I also started some bromelain - that usually helps with swelling. I go back for a followup on Monday. The PS is going to do some laser treatments to some of my scars to make them look better. That has me a little freaked out because I don't really know what to expect. But in the last appointment he indicated that it is no big deal and he hasn't steered me wrong yet.
Take care,
JoAnn

Topic: Questions about lung cancer surgery!
My husband is having lung surgery Mon. They are removing his lower left lung, cancer tumor. It is supposed to be done laparoscopicly called VATS. Has anyone had this procedure and if so how did it go? What is the pain level for this surgery? Need as much info as possible for my own peace of mind.

Thanks. Yeah, I am working on the iron. I might get an infusion next week cause I have a history of anemia. Thanks for all the good thoughts. It really helps!
