My doctor says he can either do the BPD or he can reconstruct my pouch which is not something i want to do since my pouch size has only increased to 8 oz. I've got some hoops to jump through, but on 10/13 i broke my foot so i'm not able to drive till it's healed. So all the meetings, therapy etc is put on hold till then since i have no one to drive me into the city for my appointments. .

My doctor is suggesting that I revise from an RNY to BPD w/o the Switch because my insurance will pay for it, but to my understanding, this surgery is not as effective as a full conversion. I am not sure what I should do. Any advice?
