Topic: RE: The proper care and feeding of husbands
TW,
This book is wonderful and I read it and gave a copy to my oldest son and his wife. They were having some problems and I think that it help. They read it together.
Amazon.com, also sold this book, but I purchased mine from Tower Book store.
I have not read the new book, but although I may not agree with her 100% of the time, she is usually right on. She makes people think and not just react. I think that she has helped many women and men and young people see things more clearly.

I loved "praying for sleep" and "The bone collector" by Jeffrey Deaver. And the Thomas Harris books, Red Dragon, Hannibal. I have been reading reviews on Dan Browns Angels and Demons. Anyone read it yet? He also wrote the Da Vinci code. I have read The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold and Angels and Demons comes up with it in Amazon, people who have read The Lovely Bones, have also read Angels and Demons.
Anyone read some good ones lately....the kind that make you want to keep reading with the lights on and doors locked..
Psychological & Suspense ones are the best.

Topic: Wonderful book
I just wanted to share a book I just read--one of the BEST books I have read, honestly. It's "A Sundog Moment" by Sharon Baldacci, who is the sister of suspense writer David Baldacci.
The story and message in this book is very powerful. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Topic: RE: Any Anne Rice readers out there?
I'm an Anne Rice fan. Read pretty much everything she has out there, even some of those under her pen names. Loved the Mayfair witches!

Topic: How about Edward Rutherford's work?
I love to read. Diane Gabaldon, Ann Rice, Edward Rutherford, Michner and more.
Any suggestions on other authors that write as well as these mentioned above?

I have read everything she has written that I could get my hands on. Most of the books more than twice. I have seen all of her movies. I enjoy her and my nephew (23yrs old) and I discuss them all the time.

Hi Fran,
Gald to know a fellow Gabaldon fan. I like the idea of the audio books but could not justify the cost. Until now that is. I read on the boards about putting an audio book into the cd player instead of music while walking and you sorta go off to that special place while walking. GOOD IDEA!!!
I have had the great fortune of visiting Scotland. We went a few years back. We took a bus tour for 9 days. EXCELLENT way to travel. It was everything I dreamed it would be. I have decided not to live in a castle, to drafty. lol

Lizzi,
Yes! I love Gabaldon too. I started with Outlander from books-on-tape and went through the whole series on tape. I loved it! I had to be careful or I'd slip into a Scottish brogue at work.
I've read the series too and I love the story both ways. It's hard waiting for the next one, after tearing through the first five in a row. Gabaldon has really sparked my interest in Scotland. I've read a lot of Scottish history on the web, but my ultimate plan is to go there one day.
I hope that A Breath of Snow and Ashes comes out soon. I had hoped to read it during my recovery, but it doesn't look like Diana and I are on the same timeline.

I have read and re-read all her books. I have lent them to friends and co-workers who are now hooked as well.
