Hi; Lynda C.S.Lewis did write "The Screwtape Letters" as well as the "Chronicles of Narnia" series along with many other books. I read "The Screwtape Letters" a few years ago and I enjoyed it. It really makes you think, though. Hope you like it. Kimberly J.

I'm a reader as well as a writer, unfortunately my rent paying job can prevent me from writing as much as I would like to. I am published, with an electronic publisher Triskelion Publishing. I have four books out so far and the fifth will be out later this month. Glad i found this board. Elaine Charton 10/19/05 Lap RNY Dr. Chiasson

Wrote "The Screwtape Letters." A series of letters written from a demon to his master Satan on his attempts to tempt and bring down to hell, one young man. Supposed to be very well written as well as very enlightening. This same author wrote "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe." Anyone read "Screwtape Letters?" Tell me about it if you had. Lynda D.

Topic: RE: Jane Austen fans?
Love Jane Austen. Some people refer to her as a "***** Monster" I see no such thing. She hard on the characters who deserve to be protrayed harshly. She doesn't pull her punches. Bravo. She was so restricted in those days any. Everyone had to be oh so polite. So she wasn't always polite. I'm not always polite myself so I guess that makes me a "***** Monster." By the way, the movie "Clueless" is patterned after "Emma" in case you've never noticed. It's funny. Read Emma then watch Clueless. Very funny. Lynda D.

I'm addicted to Jeffery Deaver's Lincoln Rhime series--always a twist at the end that blows you away--also Michael Connelly and John Connolly--and if you like Patricia Cornwell's writing you'll love Kathy Reichs.....

Hi, I've just discovered OH. I, too, am a reader and a writer. My 9th book will be out the end of this year and my 10th is due to my editor Nov. 1. I also write lots of book reviews for a couple of magazines. I have a website www.genrefluent.com which has no editor making me appreciate how much editors do to keep authors from sounding like illiterate idiots. I do read about 400 books a year, mostly genre fiction. --Didi

I am not sure what you are looking for but I hope this helps. http://www.americanwriters.org/ http://archive.ala.org/booklist/v99/001.html What kind of books are you looking into reading? Is there any type that you like more than others? I may have further suggestions.
