Topic: Carnie Wilson's books
I know the board is currently inactive, but maybe we can liven it up.
I just started reading Carnie Wilson's memoirs, which is probably the first book about weight loss I've read in years. (Generally, I've tried to avoid them because it was just too depressing to read how someone else was succeeding when I wasn't.) Has anyone else read them and what did you think?
Topic: I'm new to the book board!
I had no idea there was a book board. I have come home, lol! I am a avid reader. I love historical romances any book that has a series to it, I have to collect them all. Some people have other hobbies or things they collect but for me its books. I've started on Sabrina Jeffries. I've never read any of hers and picked up all the Book Rack had of her the other day. I'm thrilled that theres a book board and look forward to talking to other readers like me!

Topic: Attention all Book lovers!!
My mom showed me this site and I love it! I've already mailed and received several books in less than a week.
I read so much that I hate to buy books new and the library doesn't always have the new books or enough copies to go around. With this service, all you have to pay is the media rate postage and you have a book to read. Then you can turn around and ship it to someone else so it doesn't clutter up your shelves.

Oh, I love The Red Tent! It's a really interesting perspective for the traditional Biblical story. I'd love to talk about it as you go along!

Topic: RE: THE LOVE OF READING A GOOD BOOK !!!!!!
Sorry this reply is so late but yes I've read the trilogy! I thought all 3 were great. Full of different emotions. You've probably already read the books by now but I just wanted to answer your post.
Topic: The Secret Life of Bees
Hi everyone!
I love to read - mostly fiction and literature. I just finished both The Secret Life of Bees and the Mermaid Chair and enjoyed them both. Anyone else? I used to read all the time, but lately haven't read as much. I do write poetry, as well as other types of writing, but other than newsletters I haven't published. I'd love to write a novel, but not sure when that will happen in my life. We'll see.
Have a great night!

If I am going to read a "horror" story, it had better be real...shame on Frye for lieing. I knew he was lieing when he said that Hazelton wouldn't allow him to have novacaine...
I don't feel that other person was flaming you...she was just relaying what she thought you should know...after all half the country was in an uproar over this novel. He basically blew the theory on AA which is a multi million dollar industry...and was found out to be a fraud...
