I loved "praying for sleep" and "The bone collector" by Jeffrey Deaver. And the Thomas Harris books, Red Dragon, Hannibal. I have been reading reviews on Dan Browns Angels and Demons. Anyone read it yet? He also wrote the Da Vinci code. I have read The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold and Angels and Demons comes up with it in Amazon, people who have read The Lovely Bones, have also read Angels and Demons. Anyone read some good ones lately....the kind that make you want to keep reading with the lights on and doors locked.. Psychological & Suspense ones are the best.

Angels & Demons is very good. I've read almost all of Dan Brown's books (he only has 4 or so) and I've liked them all. I've lent my copies of Angels & Demons and the DaVinci Code to friends, and they thought they were similar. Anyway, they're both good but Angels & Demons is the first book in the series, and it's my favorite of the 2. Actually, I have a copy of Coffin Dancer by Jeffery Deaver that I haven't gotten around to reading. I got started reading thrillers by reading Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta series. Also, Kathy Reichs, James Patterson (the women's murder club series), Tami Hoag, Sue Grafton, and Karin Slaughter are good thrillers. I'm partial to books that are part of a series and that have female leads. Right now I'm in the middle of a Catherine Coulter book, Blind Side, and it's pretty good. Kathy Reichs and Patricia Cornwell are probably the best nail biters I know of. Tami Hoag is good, too. Sarah

I actually liked Angels & Demons better than The Davinci Code. It's the same main character. I don't buy all of this "code" stuff (which it seems Dan Brown really believes), but the books are good. I've read a couple of his other books too and they are pretty good. I noticed him because my youngest son is Daniel. Okay, I still call him Daniel, but most everyone else calls him Dan. Hi Jessie and everyone! One of my all time favorite books is Watchers by Dean Koontz. His subsequent books got a little to predictible with the story lines. But I would still give them a read occasionally. Well I have a wonderful surprise!!! Two of his latest books are WONDERFULLY FRESH, AND A can't put down read. The titles are "THE FACE" and "ONE DOOR AWAY FROM HEAVEN". The BEST he has written in years!!!!! Both them made ME cry reading the ending. They were that good! One other good author I haven't seen mentioned is John Sandford. He has written a series of novels about a Police Detective named Lucas Davenport, most people refer to them as "The Prey Novels" He has three books outside of that series that are also very noteworthy. I am bad with titles, but one of those three I believe is The Empress Files. Those three have a main character that can give Davenport a run for his money. The scary suspense...hmmm, oh I know. Terry Brooks, while he is better known for his fantasy books about Shannara. (They go pretty high on the suspense meter themselves!) He has written a trilogy, I think is called A Knight of the Word series, which is set in todays time frame! Really , really good. The first book in the series is "RUNNING WITH THE DEMONS" Anyhoo, that is all I can think of off the top of my head. May you always find good verbage!!!

Hooray, another Koontz fan, I like John Sanford writing as John Camp in the Kidd novels too. I have read all of Koontz's book except one I absolutely could not finish and that one was Intensity. Keep on reading the best is yet to come.
