Anyone out there a Diane Gabaldon fan?

I have read and re-read all her books. I have lent them to friends and co-workers who are now hooked as well. Lizzi

Lizzi, Yes! I love Gabaldon too. I started with Outlander from books-on-tape and went through the whole series on tape. I loved it! I had to be careful or I'd slip into a Scottish brogue at work. I've read the series too and I love the story both ways. It's hard waiting for the next one, after tearing through the first five in a row. Gabaldon has really sparked my interest in Scotland. I've read a lot of Scottish history on the web, but my ultimate plan is to go there one day. I hope that A Breath of Snow and Ashes comes out soon. I had hoped to read it during my recovery, but it doesn't look like Diana and I are on the same timeline. Fran

Hi Fran, Gald to know a fellow Gabaldon fan. I like the idea of the audio books but could not justify the cost. Until now that is. I read on the boards about putting an audio book into the cd player instead of music while walking and you sorta go off to that special place while walking. GOOD IDEA!!! I have had the great fortune of visiting Scotland. We went a few years back. We took a bus tour for 9 days. EXCELLENT way to travel. It was everything I dreamed it would be. I have decided not to live in a castle, to drafty. lol Lizzi

These books are out now aren't they? I haven't done any reading in awhile, but I'd get back to it if these books were out!

Hi Lizzi, I, too, love Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. I feel like I personally know Claire and Jaimie. lol I have shared my books with my "reading" friends, also. :P Tammy

I felt like I'd lost my best friends when the books ended and I didn't get my daily fix of Jamie and Claire.

I've read the first three books in the series, but I haven't gotten a chance to read the others yet. They will have to go on my list!! Ann in GA

Hi Ann, I am glad you are enjoying the series with us. I have re-read them so often and now just before the surgery, I have gotten the cd's of the books to read while I am recovering. Lizzi

I LOVE her books! You are the only other person I have ever heard mention her. They are thick so they aren't for wimps, but once you start reading you get so into them you are to the end in no time and waiting for the next one!

I am fairly new, just had my surgery in November. I found this post and I just had to say I LOVE her! Her new book is due out this summer. I cannot wait!
