I'm usually an avid mystery fan, but...
working at the local library, I found two books that were excellent for those who could use a good book (with a little sadness, but happy underneath). "P.S., I Love You" by Cynthia Ahearn, and "On a Night Like This" by Ellen Sussman.
Mystery-wise, I just finished "The Amber Room" by Steve Berry, and
"3rd Degree" by James Patterson. They were both great. I'm getting ready to start Nevada Barr's new one, and then I'm going to drop back down and read Mary Kay Andrew's two books (I didn't realize she was Kathy Hogan Trocheck, a mystery writer from Atlanta). Recuperation from surgery is so nice when you have plenty to read.
Here's to reading...
Gosh, Roz, I don't know...I have concentration problems because I have fibromyalgia, and sometimes have to just put it down for while, but I just stick in there! Jeffery Deaver, Stuart Woods, Robert Parker, Mary Higgins Clark (and her daughters), Janet Evanovich, Catherine Coulter's FBI series (The Edge, Blindside, etc), Ridley Pearson, and Charlaine Harris all come to mind. There are so many others...Have you read Alice Sebold's (sp) "These Lovely Bones" or Nevada Barr's books? They are kind of short. I also highly recommend John Grisham's latest book, "The Last Juror". I absolutely could not put it down, and I am not a Grisham fan since he published "The Client", which I loved. After a long dry spell, he has redeemed himself. It is really good.
I hope I have been of some help. Please let me know if I can do anything else. I'll keep you in mind as I check books.
