Books on Homosexuality
Can anyone recommend some good books (fictional or non-fiction) that have to do with homosexuality? Weird question I know, but I just read Prayers for Bobby by Leroy Aarons and it was incredibly moving, and I’m wondering if there are others of its caliber and subject matter that anyone would recommend?
Hmm, well I found this to be an interesting read: http://www.amazon.com/Stranger-Gate-Christian-America-Plume/ dp/0452273811/ref=pd_sim_b_4
Prayers for Bobby is an incredible read. Much more profound because it is a true story.
Prayers for bobby is fantastic. Did you know there is a movie for it? I’ve seen commercials for it all week. It's actually on tomorrow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vAfBXW1e6U
My partner and I are HUGE fans of a series my Kim Harrison called "the Hallows". It is about vampires, witches, fairies, and humans all rolled into one book. It isn't out right gay material...but it does have some really good lesbian scenes. We like the genre...but we love it also because they throw homosexuality into the mix as if it is a normal thing in society (which don't get me wrong, really is). However, some books go over the top with the gay statments....this just is kind of like life....and some REALLY funny parts. Let me know if you want more information! :)
