A good friend  just found this really neat site that allows you to swap books with others one for one with no charges.  I typically go to the used book store but this is so much better (you pay to ship your own books to other members and they pay to ship to you usually about 2.00 a book US Mail)  It also has neat features for people like me *****ad so much I forget what books I have allready read.  I get to keep track of them in my account.  When you join you get 2 free book credits (each book cost one)

Since I joined lat night I have got 3 books on the way and I am sending out 4 of mine.  You get a credit for everyone that you refer to the site so I am passing the word hoping to get some free books (please dont flame me).  IF you are interested check out www.paperbackswap.com (and if you join use my name as refrence if you dont mind, if you mind dont worry about it) my name is Emily Viator.  I ope those of you who are avid readers think this is as neat of a site as I do.

OoHh!!  I just went to a book store today with a gift card.  I took a book the lady suggested without even reading about it.  I will try just about anything once.  I am anxious anxious to check this out!!

Thank you!

I am new to this site.  Hoping to have surgery.  I could use any advice you may have on that as well!!

*Would love to know what books you have on the way.  Just gives me an idea of what you read.

I've been using PBS for quite a while now and love it!  They also have separate sites which operate the same way for trading CDs and DVDs.  Books on Tape or CD are traded on the paperbackswap.com site.

If you decide to use PBS and are listing the books you want to swap, don't forget that it can be any kind of book - nonfiction, children's, self-help.  I know the first thing that came to my mind was FICTION, my favorite.  After a while, I thought, gee, maybe I could find some of those quilting books I've been looking for.  I listed some old structural engineering books of my Dad's from the 1940s and eventually someone ordered them.  You can also list hardback books.  Just remember that any package over 13 oz. has to be mailed at the window of the post office (due to post-9/11 regulations).  Even hardbacks are cheap to mail via Media Mail.

Enjoy!
