Topic: Tuesday's workout!
HELLO!!!! EVERYONE AWAKE???? I got up and hit the gym at 6 this am....I'm tired now a little would be nice.
Anyways thanks to my handi dandy HR monitor I was motovaited to kick some cardio butt!!
I did 30 mins of cross training program on the eliptical
30 mins on the arctrainer doing the interval program
I kept my HR bwteen 145-160 burned 717 calories
Oh ya and some crunches too
WOO HOO!!!

Hey Dee Dee,
How are ya? By the way you look great! I am going to be starting my new lifting program Friday morning. My trainer is going to have lift heavier weights and lower reps. I am going to get RIPPED Thats my plan anyways not superwoman but definition and the "cut" look

Topic: beginners competition
Okay - the owners of my gym have told me about a beginners competition for body building. They said there is a category for those who have lost extrememe amounts (more than 100 lbs) of weight and have asked me to join the competition.
Its still 6 months away so I'm trying to figure out what it is I need to do to get better definition but I don't want to get "bulky" becasue I think that's not very feminine for a girl.
Any thoughts?

That's great. Let me know how it works out. I've never really paid much attention to my calorie's burned or heart rate. Too much to think about. I just want to put my head down and survive.

Noon to 12:45 pm Throwing practice
2 K discus
20# shot
16# shot
1 pm to 2 pm @ home
Suspended Incline Press
Incline Discus Flyes
50 # wt 1 arm press
8 pm to 9 pm @ work gym
Inverted rows
walk 40 min on treadmill, 3 mph at level 4

I noticed that I was burning as many calories as the machine said...which kinda sucks. But at least now I am getting my heart rate where it needs to be and I know exactly how many calories I am burning.

Gonna have to get one of those; did you notice any difference between this and the monitors on machines you have used. I would think with the specific info you input you would get a more accurate picture.

I love my new heart rate monitor! It really helped to keep me going with my cardio and I liked seeing the calories burned. I got mine at Dick's for just under a $100...
I have my consultation today at the new gym I joined I am hoping just to get some new ideas for something different to do...
