What day is it? Oh yeah Wednesday. Weather kind of shot some of my plans today too. Finally got a throwing session in around 6 pm for an hour.
I'll do one last full body training session Thursday, mainly a speed training day, then just throwing and stretching until Saturday. I'm trying to train my body to get up a little earlier the next few days since I have to get up around 5 am Saturday to drive to the meet. I'm not a morning person.
Train hard.

Hi Dee Dee,
Well, it sounds like you won't have to do a lot extra cardio with all those classes you're teaching. Makes me tired just thinking about it.
There's a company that puts out a nice little magazine. Yeah, it's basically a catalog to sell their supplements, but it has a lot of good, sound information about training and dieting for natural competitions. You don't have to buy their stuff or take all the supplements they suggest. I just thought you might be interested in reading some of the profiles and diets. They have a lot of fitness and figure articles too. The articles are online but they have a free magazine they send out every 3 months or so.

I think competitions are motivating. There's nothing like having to stand in front of an audience in a bikini on a particular day to motivate you to stay on a diet.

I already lift heavier than most of the girls I know in my gym.....(at least the one's that are "girly" girls. There's this one that I question...LOL) My typical leg press is upwards of 200 but depending on how much I'm doing and teaching I adjust it accordingly. (example - I'm teaching 8 classes this week alone) I know I'm going to drop the carbs back down and up the protein again. I'm also re-upping my water levels. The nutritionist at the gym said that the majority of my diet is very good - but that there are always places to tweak it when I'm in competition mode.
I'll keep you guys posted as I develop more.....I'm going to get measured tonight and see where I stand now. Keep me motivated!!!!!

Thanks for the motovaition! Oh, I plan totally plan on lifting heavy I want to build quite a bit... I think the woman with muscle are sexy and that is where I am heading.
Hopefully oneday I'll be a personal trainer....

I think if you looked at how fitness women train, you'll find they still train heavy and still look extremely femine and sexy. In the end, it's all about genetics and maximizing what you have.

Hi Dee Dee,
I think you should do it. Don't worry about getting "bulky". It's so hard for women to gain muscle, even if they're genetically gifted and taking steriods (male hormones). If you did everything right, eat right, train heavy, supplement correctly and take massive dosages of male hormones...you might get bulky...in about 5 years. So it's not something a woman that's not on drugs really needs to worry about. You'll end up losing some muscle actually the closer you get to the contest if you diet hard. So 6 months out you should be training heavy with some basic exercises and gradually start to clean up your diet so you don't have to diet as hard closer to the contest.
My personal opinion is, not training heavy because you're worried about waking up one day looking like the Hulk is probably one the biggest mistakes women make. It just doesn't happen that fast and it's not that easy. Most women would get the results they're seeking if they started training like guys. You won't end up looking like a guy. The women that do were already half way to being guys anyway, if you know what I mean.
