I think it does! I do extra stuff ...free weight squats etc./classes and I just enter it myself! Many of guys who soley lift free weights use it at our gym. You can enter the info at the kiosk or wait and enter it at home via PC. Wait until you get your first Monthly Progress Report you will be hooked. I am like a proud child....putting up on the refrigerator! It motivates me to increase my points every month!
It gives you a comparison of the prev month to current month. Calories burned, Weight lifted, Summary by Activity, Summary by muscle groups! When you are using the machines it'll tell you how your form was and if it needs to be improved! It will also tell you increase your cardio if needed!
It's like a pat on the back!!
Try it out...maybe you'll love it or maybe not!!

My Y has it but I have not messed with it yet. I just keep my own journal but maybe I should check it out. I use more of the free weights and hammer strength stuff though. Does it still make sense to use it if you are not using all the machines for the full circuit or do you have do use all the machines?

Yes.. told you I went running Sat morning at 5:30am. Friday night I went to sleep early while you were all hanging out being bad in the hospitality room. Actually ran into Steve after my run and stretched a little bit while he was on the bike. I would have lifted too though if I had weights.
Ok.. so I am asking now. Hang on to the gym passes for me next time I come visit. Maybe I can teach you a thing or two.

Come over to my Y in Baltimore!
Actually that IS insanely high for tricep pushdowns and pulls. Ouch. Nice job. I do dips with my own weight though and that is just under 190 right now but totally dif story.
June: BRING IT and then Bench press me.. lol.. shouldn't be too hard because by then I should be a size 6 or below goal. Whoo hoo. Actually if somehow we could get some lifting in maybe I could have one more extra apple martini.. lol
David.. please upgrade that gym in the hotel of yours or at least hook me up with a guest pass to the gym you use next time. Both treadmills were broken and I had to go freeze my tush off outside!!!

Well when you join the board you may have to change that!! If you have the chance to visit a gym or a Y with Fitlinxx make sure you have someone show you everything it can do!!
Take Care!!!
Topic: RE: Protein Requirements by Body weight
Hi Bob,
I wouldn't say I'm wise, but I can tell you what's worked for me.
Syntrax makes a great cappuccino-flavored protein mix, and I take that when I'm craving coffee. I'll make a double or triple size, and I get lots of coffee flavor plus a good dose of protein.
I was having trouble with fatigue a couple of months after my surgery, and my surgeon suggested I try Oasis Ageless capsules. It helped my energy and my workouts a lot (I still take it.) Instead of barely pushing myself through, I often do the workouts with vigor and sometimes even a smile (scary isn't it?)
I also do strenuous bike riding on a hilly paved trail. I was crashing halfway through and figured it was due to low blood sugar. (I'm diabetic and can really feel when my sugar is off.) I started eating a good carb meal an hour or so beforehand or snack on dried dates (rolled in oats, no sugar added.) They will give you a good boost. I order mine from www.stonemountainpecans.com . I've also gotten tasty nuts from there too, which helps with the protein -- and gives your body the "good" fats you need to function. See http://borntoexplore.org/lowfat.htm for more on fat. I know most of the protein and carbs I consume are no fat or low fat, and fat is essential I also eat shelled pumpkin seeds (peptias) that I get from Cost Plus World Market. They also contain the good fats.
Thanks for listening!

190 on tricep pushdowns? That seems really high. In fact it is more than double what I do. Same with your pulls downs.
