Hey Jeremy - This board has been a litte slow lately. There is a huge need for emphasis on exercise in this community. It should be like brushing teeth!! Love to see that you are getting this going. What I have found with many pre and new ops is that they just don't know where to start. I'd like to see you do a series on beginner workouts or "getting started with a fitness routine after wls." If you need some assistance with articles let me know. I've been around the gym industry for a few years. Husband is a personal trainer and I plan to work on a few certifications as well. My latest passion is spinning. Also did a WLS seminar with a physical therapist/cardiac care specialist recently. She gave some great ideas on simple resistance training (using body weight, milk jugs, etc) for newer op patients or people that have never done an exercise program.

Hey Tiny.. I could use some serious motivation right now!! I am normally a fitness fanatic but in a slump because life has thrown me a few curves.
I know working out has been the key to get around those curves but somehow I am having trouble making that happen.
Topic: So hard to get consistency~
I just can't seem to get any consistency in my routine going and I know it is critical for me to get back on track. Everything in my life right now feels like it has been turned upside down... well other than my job. That is about the only thing that feels stable. I love working out.. so why is it that I don't do it for periods of time. I feel like I've just completely been abusing this gift of a new body I have been given. I need to shake this phase or whatever I am going through off and rise above it all. I am stronger then this. Time to come back fighting. Instead of going to happy hour tonight I need to go hit a heavy bag. Problem is no heavy bag at my Y. Maybe I'll get a friend to get some target gloves on and just go to town. Ugh.. who am I kidding. I know I am going to happy hour. I want to celebrate with my co-worker that is leaving. Ok.. this weekend is the start of renewel. I'll be back here on Sat and Sun reporting how it goes.

LMAO.. so was this bike thread a ploy to get my attention? I guess it worked.
I have not really done a ton of riding outdoors but need to get back into it.. or start to get into it. I have a hand me down hybrid bike that I've used for short rides around my area but would like a real road bike. I've never tired MT. Biking but I'd like to do that as well. Only problem is I am a klutz and I'll probably hit a rock or something and go flying. Need a partner for that so I don't end up knocked out on some trail all by my lonesome. Too bad you are not closer.. we could ride together. I need new friends to get out of the house that have the same interests as me.
The husband just really isn't in to much of anything these days.
