I worked out like a crazy woman. Tuesday I did max lifts.
310 for deadlift and 225 for squats. I was dissappointed with the squats. But it will come up quick. It always does. Hubby gave me sessions with a personal trainer and he used to be a power lifter. I finally broke down and I ordered lifting straps (PINK with my initials on them!) The PT made my deadlift workout with the max in mind. It kicked my butt this AM!
warmup--deadlift warm up--bar
deadlifts--210lbs--X12X2
Farmer walks 60lb dumbbells 20X2
straight leg dead lifts--bar on the box 12X2
15 lb dumbbell curls 20X2
30 crunches on the ball X2
planks 60 seconds X 2--Started shaking in less than 20 seconds
cable rows 100 lb X 12X2
Wanna know the funny thing.....My forearms were more sore than my legs!!! Crazy....it was true!!

Hey "Tiny" And everyone else, you guys are truly an inspiration. I am not quite 7 months out an have lost a total of 175 lbs. I weighed almost 500 lbs at 6'4".Now I am ready to get back into weight training and could really use a guide to some training methods. I'm very atheletic because I use to be an athelete (College Basketball) before I let myself go. I have always been big even when I was in shape. Unfortunately, Now I have become weak and flabby. Any help out there would be appreciated.

Ok.. another big spin session today. Blasted the music and put on my hot new spin outfit. Nice black mountain bike shorts from REI and this really cool zipper down cool max/spandex bike shirt. I went out and bought a bunch of new workout clothes to help motivate me.

Hey Jeremy I can't understand why the cycling board has not taken off. I suspect that many folks don't even know that it exists! Need to make it more visual or perhaps a physical fitness room with bodybuilding and cycling or any other physical activity attached. Physical fitness it the main goal for all of us! Think...VISUAL TO ALL!

Ignore the scale. It will start moving again. I disagree with your surgeon.
Make sure though you are also getting in good cardio with the lifting.
You may also want to try to go up or down 250 calories to see if that makes a difference. How much protein are you doing also? 3 weeks isn't a long stall. If it goes to 6 then that is when I might change things up especially if you are doing everything you should be doing. Also, are you losing inches at all?

cale won't break the 250 mark! I've been stuck in the 251-256 range for close to 3 weeks now. Went to my surgeon and he said to stop weight lifting until I get to goal. This is not smart, if I comply I will end up like a blob of loose skin YuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuK!
Any suggestions how I can break this 250 funk????
