I would love to help, but I am barely getting mine right, I would hate to mess you up with bad advise. Have you tried I-shape.com, or body for life? I think they would be excellent places to get a beginning routine. You most likely will benefit from just about anything now, I would say a couple sets, high reps, lower weight and lots of cardio to start. Then once your muscles have become adapted you could go from there.

I'm brand new to this board and have recently hit my 5 month plateau. I am looking for a good workout to get me moving again. Been walking, but feel I am ready to upgrade to some bodybuilding and weightlifting. I used to do it Pre-pregnancy 12 years ago, and enjoyed it thoroughly. But, it's been awhile and I can barely remember the routines. I used to do 3 sets with about 10-15 reps on lats, abs, bi's, gluts, curls, and leg lifts. But with such a long time period between then and now what do you all recommend. Any suggestions welcome, and thanks......Lovey

I am so sorry. My mom went through this too. She had posted ads everywhere, and a lady from the water dept (out reading meters) found her and took her to the animal shelter. But she was gone for about 3 days, and mom had just moved into that neighborhood, so I will hope and pray that a good samaritan finds your doggie and turns him in somewhere. I think you've done what you can. I hope he comes home. Let us know what happens. I know it kinda overshadows your AWESOME BMI, but that is great! And met a guy huh? Ok, we need details, lots of juicy details! BIG HUG Val

aww =( That is terrible. I am so, so sorry about your dog. Keep posting the pictures and going door to door. Did you get your dog from a breeder? Sometimes they are the experts on setting traps to get back dogs using owners clothes, etc. I know our sheltie breeder gets called in every once in a while to assist with owners that have lost her dogs. One time my yellow headed amazon parrot, Max, flew away when we had the front door open. I thought we would never see him again. Two weeks later he turned up at a neighbors house that looked similar to ours. We were running ads in the local paper and they reponded to the ad.

Hiya John, You know, I really question how to *accurately* determine my precise MHR to gauge interval training. My RHR is in the 50s, but I can workout for a long time and push my heart rate up to the 160s and more without even feeling winded, though it takes a while to get me up there, once I get up there I tend to hover up there in the 160s and 170s without being winded at all and it drops quickly afterward. I know you can try to calculate it based upon age, which would put me at 181 for MHR, but there are other ways to calculate that, too. Here's a link I found for ways to calculate it. The link is on the bottom of this page in a box that says, Heart Rate Calculator at a site called Heart Zones, which is Sally Edwards' site. Sally Edwards wrote the book called _The Heart Rate Monitor Book_ and has been a guest speaker on NPR before and other places, so I thought her viewpoint was interesting. http://www.heartzone.com/index.shtml Donna E. www.teklawgirl.biz

Hey guys. I've been awol for awhile, sorry. now...something terribly shi**y has happened. My dog Freddy has been missing since Saturday. It's been as low as 5 degrees out and I am just sick. He squeezed his way between the fence and the house, something he has NEVER even attempted in 4 1/2 years. dumb dog. He has ID tags with my number, address, and the word "REWARD" in big letters. He has a microchip in him, even. Vets and shelters usually scan lost critters for the chips. I have papered my neighborhood, driven and walked all over, placed an ad in the paper and on petfinders.com. LAter I am headed to Animal Control (they were closed sunday and monday for mlk). Any other suggestions? On the good news list: my BMI is down to 39.9 and I met a cool guy last week at my friend's birthday party. I'd still rather have Freddy back safe and sound, though.
