Yeah, me, too, took me wayy too long to get that! But I really believe that it's true that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, if you choose to use it that way. That was my choice and continues to be my choice.

Hey, you just keep on jumpin', ok? I really appreciate it. I don't know that there are that many people around that really know how that feels, why it's so important to me, how hard it is to let it go and walk away because it's really the right thing to do sometimes. On the other hand, maybe there are *tons* of people who understand that, just with somewhat different particulars than mine. There are plenty who have it harder than me, and that just makes me feel like the last thing I want to do is whine that it's hard sometimes.

Topic: RE: Hello Everyone!
Thanks to all of you for your excitement and support I have little time now days for checking this site more than once every evening due to work, school and sports. But I will keep you posted as best I can when I get started on the official training (Tuesday) and the next meet results.
I know my biggest goal before Nationals is to build up my upper body strength. Before surgery I could bench a max of 160, now I am hanging around 95 lbs with quivering arms (LOL). If it weren't for my leg and back strength I would not have been able to get through the deadlifts. I am sure I am in for a rude awakening tomorrow...if I am able to move my arms enough to type, I will summarize the workout plan.

For those of you that remember that I play for the Dallas Diamonds, you will be proud to hear we won the 2004 National Championship. The "Superbowl" rings were ordered, so I get to wear one like a champ, though I ended the season on the IR list. Check out the links above if you would like to learn more.

Kudos to you! I am NOT an early morning person. I prefer my workouts in the evening. Usually right after work. There is no way I could get up, go to the gym, come home and get two girls off to school and myself off to work. But it sounds like it fits perfect for you! I am impressed.
Earl is LUCKY he has a great gym where he works, so whatever he doesn't get in at the gym in town, he finishes up at work on his lunch breaks.
As for tylenol pm, man that benadryl in it gorks me forever! Earl takes benadryl once in a while to help him sleep and he seems ok with it, I just walk around like a slug all day.
Today is my break day, and unfortunately I am not going to get my training in tomorrow. Which is driving me nuts, but I had committed to speaking to a group at OSU about wls. Just an informal q&a session that I do for the Living Well classes. It's really neat. But, the timing is not good and I have a horrendous day at work tomorrow, so I am sure I will not be in a good mood by the end of the day. Oh well, I will pick it back up on Thursday.

I have been known to get a little verbal at the bar once in a while. When we work out at home, I can holler and growl and do what ever. I love it. It does help get that last couple of reps in...and if anyone has ever been to a powerlifting meet, man you just gotta let that animal out when you are movin' the big weights.

AMEN!! It took me 35 years to start to figure that out, and I am really working on doing that still.
You know "I wish I knew now what I didn't know then" is so true. But, I think our life experiences define who we are. They can either make or break us, and I am too stubborn to be broken!

I am glad we could be here.
I completely understand where you are coming from. I know what it feels like to want to do do do and your body is telling you "sorry".
The nurse in me just tends to err on the side of caution sometimes! I am glad you are getting better with it. You know your body better than anybody! But, you know, that mother hen in me just jumps right out sometimes!

Boy do I ever know how to use it!
I tend to tell it like it is, so I apologize to anyone and everyone in advance...I can get a little colorful at times, but I will keep it to a dull roar so as not to cause any problems for the moderators!

Ahh well, then you're already locked into a winning schedule! That can be the biggest challenge for many!
