Topic: RE: How do I pump it up?
Kenny,
I have lost 252 and am an avid excerciser cardio and weights for 20 month now. Hiring a trainer was the best money I ever invested in me, she helped me learn proper form and technique. A you may want to check out the http://www.bodyforlife.com I am currently using his methodology for weightlifting.

Topic: RE: Total Body Lift
I will be having a Total Body lift (lower body lift, breast lift and arm lift). You may just need a lower body lift aka circumferential lift and they repair the muscle underneath when performing the procedure. You definately would be flat again.

Hi Tyshea
You've done really well. You look great.
Training will help a little but but if you have a lot of loose skin PS is probably the only real cure unfortunately. Doesn't mean you have to stop training. Muscle gives your body shape. The only true way to change the actual shape of your body (not counting losing 150 pounds) is through weight training.
Plus, it keeps you strong and healthy and makes every day life easier.
Good luck.
Topic: RE: Got a Question......
Hey guy,
I work a similar schedule. We have a gym 20 feet from my office open 24 hours a day and I have a home gym which makes working out whenever possible. I like to split things up and might do short 1 hour or 30 min workouts 2 or 4 times a day. A workout for me might just be walking for 30 min on the treadmill or doing nothing but power cleans for an hour. I believe in the basics. I sit on my butt all day in front of a computer so I can do those kinds of workouts without wearing myself out. If I was working in a warehouse like the old days no way would I be training 4 times a day.
I keep motivated by training for something. Powerlifting meet. Olympic lifting meet, track meet. Gives me a reason to get out there at 2 am and put a bar on my back. Makes me feel good about myself to know not everyone has my dedication and consistency. Or you could say I'm just nutz
Plus, it's fun.
Topic: RE: She's gonna do it...
Pricewise, I shop around alot. Ebay even has some deals, I just found the supplements very recently. Who da thought?
I like the extra kick so get my motivation up. Like your signature "Do it because nobody else will". I gotta get my motivation from some where(because no one will lend me any) and just starting back up, I found some quick strength gains from the gakic and creatine and the likes gets me moving. So far so good, I tend to work out at all hours, my favorite is the 2a.m. shift, no crowds. But often end up at 24 hr fitness after my night shift job at 8am right in the middle of the morning rush. Joy.
I am still trying to get my protein up to the recommended levels without pushing my carbs up too high. I don't like the shakes too much, just burnt out on em. I guess I am still kinda scared of food and keep flip flopping on how I wanna get the right nutrition to build muscle. I'll get it soon.

Yeah, I still read these things. I used to post a lot more. Just not enough hours in the day anymore. I rather spend my time working out than posting about my workouts.
Anyway...I read about Gakic and Leukic. Muscletech tends to be a little over priced sometimes, but they generally have good stuff. I think if you're just starting back into it, you can make some steady gains without spending a lot on supplements. As long as your getting plenty of protein and some good carbs your body will respond.
In my opinion, Supplements are for that extra 10% when the gains stall out or your training to be your best for some competition.
Good luck.
Do it because nobody else will.

I have been doing cardio, pilates, and weight training since 6 weeks after my WLS. I work out 4-5x a week. I was considered a light weight...I started at 39 BMI and I have lost 88 lbs!! I just had plastics surgery in March. Everyone has diiferent levels of elasticity of their skin! Mine not so elastic ....I was left with skin on my arms (bat wings) and wrinkling on my tummy (no a huge panni). I wore a size 36D bra...but believe me they were not perky. I also had slight wrinkling of my inner thighs. So I had a BL w/implants ( I am still a 36D but perky ), a brachioplasty, tummy tuck, and mini thigh lift!! Wow, know I feel look like I feel. Funny thing is with my clothes on I look exactly the same....no one has noticed my PS yeah!!
So you hopefully you are more fortunate than me!!!

Topic: RE: Post surgery changes in nutrition obsorbtion.
I am taking the creatine and glutamine without any negative side affects(runs, etc). I am adding gakic and leukic to help in the increase in muscle mass. I too am far short of my pre surgery strength, but I gotta say I am loving the way the definition in my legs is coming out. I am about a year out from my surgery and have only been truly dedicated to working out for about 2 months, so we will see how theses supps absorb and if I get any benefits from them. I am just worried that if they aren't being absorbed that I am just flushed alotta cash down the toilet. Thanks for your reply. I now know someone does read these things.

Good morning chickie!...
I do have some slight skin issues in my arms and legs... mostly arms.. I have noticed since I started weight training and working out ( 6-7 days a week) that the skin issues are NOT as bad. I know that I will have to have brachioplasty on my arms if I ever want them super tight and like they were prior to my weight gain years... but they are much more acceptable NOW than they were prior to my training.
I do 3 days of heavy weight training a week PLUS cardio. Every other day is Cardio alone and two of those days are intense INTENSE cardio.
My cardio training is either 1 hour or 1 1/2 to 2 hours long... 1 hour when I am lifting that day. One lifting day is Shoulders/legs next one is Chest/back and the third is Bi's/Tri's.
I do muscle burnout with mid weights... normally 3 sets of anywhere from 30 to 50 reps. Last night on dumbbell flys alone I did 30 -30 -50...
sheeeeee I'm feeling it today but I am seeing a MASSIVE difference ... and I AM under that guidance of a professional trainer/builder...
I take supps out the wazooo... vitamins, Muscle Milk, Isopure, you name it. I'm on a schedule and I DO eat every 3 hours.....
Hope this helps...
Elizabeth~
