Thanks Mike. I haven't lost any either. I can see changes but scales go up and down all the time. I think I can drop another 30 or 40 pounds but I'm a stress eater. Lord knows I've been stressing lately. Where's my cookie? Working out is my saving grace. If I didn't workout all the time I'd weigh 400 again. Glad you're having fun. I've had my share too. The OH Conventtion in Pittsburgh was a blast. Here's a link to some pictures...see if you can spot me in the crowd. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=9929837&uid=1444166

Sorry to hear about that, but sounds like it may be the best thing for you. I have been chugging along, having a lot of fun. Have not lost any pounds in about 6-8 months but the body keeps changing. I will be here with you brother from another mother. Mike

Hey Dude! I knew you'd come back home. Good to hear from you Mike. Sure looks like you've been doing good. Weights are going up. I would say hi to Val, but she's my ex now and kind of hostile toward me for some reason. She just announced her new wedding plans this week btw. She waited a whole week after our divorce was final. I have to say, it's actually nice to be able to workout and not have someone make you feel guilty about it. Glad you're back, let's get this board hopping again like the old days. Earl

Nice morning, but I just didn't want to get out of bed. 11:30 am to 12:45 pm Throwing workout 2 k Discus 1 K Discus 20# shot 16# Shot 12# shot Pretty good workout. I have to watch throwing the shot. In March I complete ripped out my forearm. It was black and blue and bruised up for 2 months and I couldn't bend my wrist, let alone throw. Kept me out of my first 2 meets this year. I'm heading to the high school to throw tomorrow morning. I have to get used to throwing from a ring. First meet for me is next Saturday in Pa. "If they want to do it, that's the main thing." Thanks Marcus for giving me the heads up on this site. I have found myself a local workout buddy she is just what I need to step it up a notch and keep me focused. Its funny how she lives maybe like 15 mins away from me and we go to the same gym but never came in contact with each other. Just wanted to say thank you becuase if it wasnt for you I would never have found her. Tyshea 315/162/150

Nancy, Congrats on your success and all your hard work. I started out at 415lbs and currently weigh 163 lbs. I have been doing both cardio and heavy weightlifting since September 2004. I also work out 6-7 days a week. I change my routine every 10-12 weeks, as your body adapts easily. Have you tried a spin class? It is a great way of getting an hour's worth of cardio. Also, you may want to monitor the calories are in the shakes, they could be a culprit. Also, I monitor my fat% so that I have a better perspective to what my body is doing. Mary

Topic: Find a local lifting buddy
I stumbled upon this website which was created by a guy who wanted t make it easier for people to find like-minded and motivated fitness or workout buddies. You can find people in your area with all sorts of fitness interests from, running, walking, tennis, weight-lifting and even extreme sports. There are people there of all ages. I believe this will be a great benefit for obesityhelp community members. I have signed up, and the more of us who do and let out friends know about this resource, the faster it will grow, and the easier it will be for all of us to find a buddy! Tell your OH and WLS friends about www.exercisefriends.com and take a look now. I have no realtionship with this site, which is free for use, other than using it to find a serious weight-lifting buddy in my area.
