Thanks fo much Mikee for your kind words and advice. I'll give those protein powders and bar a try. Anything that tastes like a Payday sounds good to me!

Good luck with your race!! I'm sure if you search the web you can find some sample trainning programs. I just did a google search and found these:

Treadmill running is ok as a supplement but it is much different then outside running. You really have to start integrating that into your training. My husband is a triathlete and coaches other runners.
If you can't find any training plans you like or want to ask specialized questions you are welcome to email him too -
[email protected] His name is Dana. Also, you might want to think about joining a local running club. I know of two right in my neighborhood.

My workouts are so inconsistent. I made it to the gym Tuesday and that has been it. I just feel out of steam and so drained lately. I have been working more so that could be part of it. Then of course there was the back and forth roller coaster with my HR department. My diet is off too. I got into that "last meal mode I dont care mood" last night. I wasn't even stressed out or tired. I just made the decision to make crappy choices and justified it in my head by thinking this is the last time I am eating like this! Did you guys get in these moods pre-op?
On the positive side I've been making more progress with the WLS approval. I am going to a seminar on March 8th to meet my new surgeon and learn about his program. On March 15th I have my inital consult. On April and early April I scheduled pre-op with the hopes of having surgery at the end of April. My HR department says once every thing is submitted I should be approved. I will hear something any day now.
Since I've not been working out as much I have had no knee or ankle issues.

I'm also very sorry for your loss. You are staying in the right frame of mind.
I like using nitrotech and a few others but what makes it yummy is that I end up doing a lot of different types of mix-ins - frozen berries, natrual peanut butter, sugar free syrups, cocoa powder, SF puddings, etc.

Hi Tammy - I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers on the 8th.
It's good you are having the surgery and I'm sure you will feel much better once you are all healed.

I am so sorry for your loss, my wife and I went thru that, time will make it better. Good for you to keep trying, and you have a positive outlook. Protein powders I have found that I like are; Whey Fruity, Designer Whey, and this other one that is just called 100% whey black label. Isopure is awesome, and they make pre made sport drinks with 40G protein. Bars I eat are Avid, they are a soy isolate, whey isolate and cassein blend and taste like a payday with 24 G protein. Day by day, hang in there, and good luck, stick around here.

Ok I made it through my work out...yeah! Yes I do cardio 4-5 times a week and do my weight training 3 days a week. That way my muscles have time to chill out. I had just started working my legs on Monday so I know that is why they hurt.
Made it through though and feeling good. Night

Topic: Can I come back??? I've had a bad time lately.
Hi! I only posted a few times back in January. I stopped posting after I found out I was pregnant and became more active on the post-op pregnancy forum. Last week I had a miscarriage at 10 1/2 weeks. I'm trying to stay positive and I have good days and bad days. It will probably be a couple of months before I get the okay to start trying to get pregnant again. I want to get back to my working out and see if I can't drop some more weight by then. I need help in the protein area. I have a busy work schedule and I take a long photography class on Thursday nights. I need good portable ideas. I have some of the power crunch bars and they're okay. Problem is, I can't find a decent protein powder. I've used Precision Protein by EAS, but I only like it mixed with Myoplex Lite. I tried Nectar protein, and I can gag it down if I have to. Any suggestions about a decent flavored protein powder or something to mix it with that will cover up the flavor would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
