You know what's funny, I was thinkin' "geez I feel weak tonight" especially after having trouble with the speed benching! Thanks Mike, you made me feel much better about it! I mean, look at you! You did your work out AND 9 holes of golf!! Holy cow man, that's nothing to sneeze at!! I am feeling kinda icky today...I hope I am not getting the big man's crud. I try to leave him alone while he's sick. He's usually holed up in his "cave" when he's sick, doesn't like to be bothered. That way he keeps the germs to himself! Just trying to wake up *YAWN* to get to another work day. At least with Meagan's surgery in the afternoon tomorrow I can sleep in! How's Kristie? I hope she's doing ok, you haven't mentioned her lately!! Have a good Weds it's my night off from training! Val

Hi! Speed bench today. Man I am SOOOO tired today. Not sure if it's the weather or what, but just draggin' ass big time. Found out today my youngest is getting her tonsils yanked on Thursday. Maybe it was the 2 1/2 hours I sat in the ENT's office that wore me out! Any ways, here goes: Speed bench 45# x 6 x 6 65# x 6 x 6 65# with bands 6 sets of 3 reps...torqued my right arm somehow, so at this point I took the bands off. 65# 2 sets of 3 reps DB Flat bench presses 20# x 6 25# x 6 30# x 6 35# x 6 Overhead barbell presses 50# x 6 55# x 6 60# x 6 65# x 4 Shrugs alternating regular and diesel 20# for 4 sets of 12 Bar push up 10 x 7 x 7 The next three I rotated through one set then the next exercise and so on until I got my 3 sets in...talk about a pump!!! Overhead French presses 20# 3 sets of 12 Tricep push downs 30# 3 sets of 12 DB curls 15# for 3 sets of 12 Then finished off with three different types of crunches for 3 sets of max reps...killer! Ok. 6 week body makeover by micheal Thurmond....You eat according to your body type. I am an athletic body type. Can you imagine? LOL Any how you eat 6 times a day. It really helped to regulate my Blood sugar before....I can lose it ....it is just the maintaining that I have the problem with! Nobody else has that problem.....can't you just smell the sarcasm in the air.... Tammy

Yep, been there done that...got the shirt, handbag, matching shoes and hat! First, dont' beat yourself up. That used to be my game too. The guilt will kill ya, it's counterproductive and no good for anyone. Ok, so you missed a few days, so what. Everyday is a do over!!! Workouts will pump you up tho. Sometimes I find when I am in my deepest "funk" that is actually the best time to work out. Mike is absolutely right in his post. I usually just empty my head, let the music roll through it, feel it, and just work the hell out of the iron. By the end of the workout I feel so much better, and I sleep like a baby. The next day I always feel 1000% better. Also, it's ok to take what Earl and I like to call "slug" days. Give yourself that once in a while. Sometimes you just need it. But on days like you are having Earl just gives me the proverbial kick in the arse and says GO WORK OUT YOU WILL FEEL BETTER!!! And you know what, he's right. So, NO GUILT!!! Start over tomorrow. AMEN!! I know, but remember, good things come to those who "weight" Hang in there. I will work out for you tonight! You will probably go flyin' right by me one of these days with your workouts! Keep us posted.....

I go to the cardiologist on Wednesday and I go from there. Not much information yet but I must tell you I started back on the 6wbmo and I lost 5lbs in one day! Yeah me and Mike T! Thanks for the encouragement....it is welcomed and needed! Tammy
