Awesome. Sometimes I think we forget to stop and smell the roses. I wish my mom would do the same. I see people with all kinds of disabilities working at OSU and it inspires me daily. I try to think of people like that when I get down and depressed about stupid stuff you know? Sometimes you gotta step back and look at the big picture, right? Good for you! You pushed right through it. Funny, I had a feeling you would start back in with the running big time when the weather got nice. You know it isn't bad that you want to run instead of lifting weights!! Man, you are moving your body they way it was meant to be, and no matter what you do, run, powerlift, areobics, what ever, as long as you are pushing your muslces to their potential that's all that matters, and the most important thing is that you are doing what makes you happy! Bless you and have a great day! Val

I had a friend like that been a long time since I thought of that, big ole body and little skinny legs he looked like a big crane, or stork, but he did NOTHING for his legs, running will give you bunches of benefit.

aww.. that is so nice!! Just look to the sunny sky and take a deep breath of fresh air. If that doesn't work blast the tunes. The songs always push me through it. Do you have an MP3 player? I don't think I could live without mine.

Nice job John! I can't wait to be able to run 4 miles. Come to think of it I don't think I've actually every ran continuously before for 4 straight miles. I always did some combo of a walk/run/jog or a rest/sprint deal. I miss the runners high and just can't wait to get back to it. I dream about running on the beach with Dana in the summer! I highly doubt you will be chicken legs John.. hahah!! Runners legs are muy sexy... oh man sprinters legs are just HAWT!! Enjoy!

As I posted earlier, I ran today. During my run I started to get really tired and I wanted to walk. Then I ran by this tennis court and there was a man in a wheelchair playing tennis. I thought to my self "God has blessed me with good working legs. If this guy can play tennis in a wheelchair, I can certainly run a few miles." All of a sudden there was a bounce to my step and a determination on my face. I wonder how I will get some divine intervention on my next run

Finally, some nice weather in Ohio which means I can run again. I just ran 4 miles and feel great. I think I must be getting that runners high I have been missing all winter I try to do the treadmill in the winter but it is just not the same as the fresh breeze on my face and the sun shining on my back. I am going to change my routine. No more leg days. I will replace my weight training leg days for a running days. I know my legs wont get big and strong running, but I like running so much more than working the legs. So, for now.. I will continue with the upper body routine and drop the lower body program. Wish me luck with my new program. I hope I am not a "chicken legs John" by the end of the summer
