40 grams seems ok to me. I try to get 150 to 200 grams per day. And yes, working out will increase you sex drive...that is a good thing. We are all adults here so don't be shy about your increased libido from exercise. As I have posted before, I am a big proponent of bedroom cardio. I think it should be a daily activity....for health reasons of course. Earl and Val do it once a day... and twice a day on weekends. Mikee is at it all the time( of course he is from California where it is part of the daily routine). Staci is a newlywed and married to a personal trainer (enough said there). Just tell hubby it's a side effect of WLS and exercise....and just enjoy it.

Ok. Mikee, dont rub it in on the golf. Ohio weather is cold and rainy again. I was so ready for spring..... on Sunday they are calling for mixed snow and rain. No wonder Columbus has been rated one of the fatest cites in the US. I think you have a typo...its 180 calories not 1800.....unless you did that run/golf game with one club.....nice leg workout...and abs too. Workout parnters can really help....or hurt....I hope you got a good one. My wife is my workout buddy. She dabs the sweat from my brow while I lift.....NOT. Actually, I am her Cabanna boy, fanning her while she lifts and handing her weights. Keep it up

Ok, Val needs to come out there and straighten them up don't I??? That is just a huge pet peeve of mine. PLEASE not only tell your surgeon, but let them know in their patient satisfaction survery. If they don't send you one of those, then you need to write a letter to the Director of Nursing, or whatever they call it at your hospital. There is no excuse for poor patient care, period. I know they are short staffed, but you gotta do what you gotta do. That letter also needs to go to dietary. Hmmmm sounds like your doctor needs a person like me out there to get the ball rolling....I am trying like crazy to get into our bariatric department here, but the political wheels at OSU move like they are in molasses. S L O W Hang in there. Val

YES!! Thanks for the back up Jennifer! I am an OB nurse and we are seeing a big increase in pregnant wls patients. Some of these gals are way too soon after surgery and their bodies haven't recovered enough. Our set of spontaneous quads was a wls surgery patient. I mean spontaneous in that NO FERTILITY DRUGS. Bang bang bang bang... 4 eggs baby. Popping like popcorn! She did very well. Another thing is the glucola they give you to test for gdm has 50 grams of sugar and is literally pure glucose... try drinking that in less that 10 minutes...that spells Dump with a capital D! So you really need to be careful. This is such a new area in medicine... I am hoping to get into a reserach position one day just for that! I am glad you liked the nuva ring. I think they are really awesome. I will tell my coworker that because she is also a research nurse and the doc she works for is doing research on the ring for irregular bleeding too.

Hi Stacy! So glad everything went well. Your husband sure is nice. He'll be a big help to you when you're ready to start training again. I think the period thing is normal and listen to Val about being more fertile after surgery. Don't use birth control pills either! My surgeon originally said that they shouldn't be affected, but there are at least 20 women on the post-op pregnancy forum who got pregnant on them because they didn't absorb good. My ob/gyn had put me on the Nuva Ring before I decided to get pregnant. I liked it, really simple and easy to use. Keep us posted on your progress and call me anytime! Jennifer
