How do I pump it up?
Kenny, Iam 3yr post op RNY, -200 lbs, 15.2% bodyfat, and have been working as a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medcine)certified Personal Trainer for 2 years now. I have several certifications and I will give you a few tips on accomplishing your goal. The bottom line is become or hire a trainer. you need to exercise for the rest of your life. Do it SMART first, then hard!
1. Go to NASM.org order yourself a certification course (CPT) Best and cheapest option.
2. Hire a trainer - NASM, In my humble opinion, is the better of the three top 5 certifications I hold. I charge $85/hr or $40/1/2 hr. Option 1 much cheaper You can find a less expensive trainer but as with most things you get what you pay for. Also, significent discounts apply for multiple sesson packages. For example, purchasing 48 sessions reduces per hour cost to $60.
Balanced Nutrition, A real bulking phase requires correct nutrition. If your body does not have what i t needs to repair damaged muscle it will take from healthy muscle. This does not mean eat 3x the amount of protein you need to make sure you get enough protien. Frequent meals consisting of a Carb/Protien/fat ratio of ~%65/20/15 are proper nutrition assuming you have no other special dietary requirements as a result of WLS.
Well, this could take longer than I thought. If you wish I will e-mail you some helpful information. You can contact me at: [email protected] if you send me your phone number I will give you a call. Best wishes Don NASM CPT
