How soon can you start.......

Hi to you all. I will be banded in mid May. Question is when can you start doing a wt program. I am a paramedic and I do not want to lose what I already have. Thanks for the advice in advance P.S. what would you suggest is a good protein powder. Laurie

Doc will say at least 6 weeks to avoid hernia. I did and had no problems. On protein powders, I like Nectar Capachino (Whey) after workout and MHP Porbolic-SR Cookies and Cream (Casein) before bed.
