I was told to do these for my Hamstrings. But I only feel it in my lower back. Anyone know what I am doing wrong.

Do romanian deadlifts instead. Straight legged are dangerous. Bend your knees a little and think about sticking your butt back as much as possible, try to touch the wall across the room with your butt, keep your back arched, don't round over. Bar should not go much past your knees unless you're a circus freak. This will work your hamstrings. Stiff legged with a rounded back are just dangerous and you can't use much weight.

S Putter, ah. As a former college thrower, I am guessing that your first name would be Shot. Am I good. Scott

You have to be careful. I was looking for a good picture to send you on how to do it on bodybuilding.com and they do it incorrectly. Here's a good picture. Girls cute too. http://asp.elitefts.com/qa/default.asp?qid=14927&tid=102

Hi Richard, You can do this safely, when you lower your weight make sure you keep your back straight and flat like an ironing board. It sounds like you are bending to much in the back and not the waist Check yourself in a mirror and make sure the shoulders are not rounded when bending Take care, Kathy
