At almost 7 weeks post-op and down 40 lbs I am back into the old junk food snacking trap! Yesterday morning I went to the gym and took a high impact RPM class and it was great! Last night I destroyed the day with: cookies/ chips and cheese dip/ choc. pudding/small pice of an everything bagel and who knows what else? I can't seem to get a handle on this snacking and binging crap! My wife insists that we need this junk in the house because we have kids but I know she keeps it for herself! I think she wants me to fail at this? I am so discusted! Helpppppppppp? Depressed kenny

Hey i had the same problem with the snacks at night. What helped me out tons was eating a 1-2 TBS of peanut butter. The sugar from the peanut buttler helped to keep the snack monster off my back at night.

Hi Kenny, When I read that someone is headed down this road the first thing I say is get back to the basics. What worked in the beginning will work again. If you kept a log get it out. If not get back to your protein..... How much protein are you eating a day? I eat protein all day long and I am not hungry...I too eat an apple and or piece of fruit with peanut butter. Also try cottage cheese with cinnamon and equal, protein smoothies are yummy and taste like you are cheating. Start the day with oatmeal and whey vanilla protein and then eat a protein snack a couple of hours later....eat protein and veggie for lunch, snack again like yogurt, fruit, cheese, milk, etc. Then for dinner protein, veggie, yam baked with I can't believe it's not butter spray and cimmamon, yummy. Snack before bed, like an apple with peanut butter or some nuts...and I love those mini bags of low fat popcorn!!!! Good luck Take care, Kathy 330/118
