After posting that I was ready to start working out several weeks ago, I had a pretty major setback and had to postpone. Apparently, I developed a serious Vitamin B deficiency and had a ton of problems. Luckily, I got a new supplement and everything is looking up. Yesterday was my first workout, and I am really sore as a result. Lunges (tons of them, I can hardly stand up today) Squats - 3 sets of 15 Crunches - 1 set of 20 Tricep Extensions - 1 set of 20 Bicep Curls - 1 set of 20 Lat Pulldowns - 1 set of 20 Chest Press - 1 set of 20 Shoulder Extensions - 2 sets of 20 Oblique Crunches - 2 sets of 15 Leg raises - 1 set of 20 (these were odd, lifting the legs from the ground to 90 degrees with a FitBall between my feet) 15 minutes of stretching 30 minutes on the Elliptical I tolerated everything really well, except for the lunges. I used to be a lunge machine, and I told my trainer not to be afraid to ask me to do them. I am dying today. I have trained with Personal Trainers several times in the past, but this one has a really unique approach. Most of the reps were done while balanced on a Fit Ball. She said she wanted to strengthen my core while we worked my arms and legs. I am not sure how thrilled I am with the approach, but I am willing to try for a while. Despite the sore muscles, I am thrilled to be working out again. Clay Stribling Surgery 11-1-05 Current Weight - 282 - Down from 391

Welcome back Clay I noticed in my gym Core is everything. They have you doing all kinds of things on the Fit Ball, Bosu, and such.... It makes sense, if we don't have a strong center nothing else will be as strong as it can be Great workout and keep it up Take care, Kathy 330/118
