New here, found a home!
Hi Everyone,
I have been working out at the gym with a PT. When I found out I was going to have PS, my trainer said we are going to train you for body building so you will have as much muscle as possible for your surgery.
Well...I have fallen in love We have been working out for about a month and I just love it I think I have traded my addiction for food for weight lifting.
I was posting on the main board "Did you move to lose" but I could tell my routine just didn't fit there. Summer told me about this board, thank you Summer.
I can't wait to read all the posts, get to know everyone and learn from you all.
Take care,
Kathy

Welcome Kathy...I agree..weight training can be addicting. Good luck
Hey Buckeye John,
Thank you, it's great to find this family. The main board doesn't get it, and I mean that in a nice way.
I want to be lean and mean when I have my first round of PS in April.... Yea I have to wait that long as the surgeon I picked was that booked.
I have been working with a PT as I don't have a clue about bodybuilding or weightlifting but I am learning fast.
I know I am working out and getting "buff" but you just can't see it with the extra skin Can't wait to be able to see the results.
You and your loved ones have a wonderful holiday
Take care,
Kathy
Hi Stayce,
I love the way you spell your name, very
I have been doing this for about 4 weeks but I JUST LOVE IT!!! It makes you feel so good about yourself.
How long have you been doing WL/BB? How long did it take you as a women to get the look you wanted? Did you have PS for the skin issues?
Have an awesome Holiday Stayce and I look forward to learning from you all
Take care,
Kathy
Only for the boards.. hehe.. It is really just boring S-t-a-c-y. So many of us around here I thought I would try to be different.
I've been a gym rat on and off for about 8 years or so. Married to a personal trainer as well. He use to manage at a couple different gyms but just recently switched back to retail managment. Also run a couple message board forums on fitness and nutrition. One is active and one sort of fizzled out. One of my main motivators for RNY was the fact that with all the extra weight I was getting lots of bone injuries and joint pain with working out. Now that no longer seems to be the case and I am much more healthier these days.
