Chest, Back, Abs Day

Wednesday was a recovery day. I did the following on Thursday: Chest exercises: Incline dumbbell press supersetted with push ups Machine press High cables Back exercises: Seated row (narrow grip) Prone t-bar row Lat pull down Bent dumbbell raises Abs: Crunches Leg lifts (chair) Abs machine Finished up with 20 minutes of fat burning cardio then did another 20 minutes of intervals!

Nice workout! I would like your input on doing opposite muscles groups on the same day. I have heard it was good and I have heard it was bad. I do opposites on the same day. Looks like you do to. Pros and cons? Tammy

Hi Tammy I had not heard that a "split" opposite workout (push/pull) was bad. I really like to train this way because with my 3 day split. the muscle gets plenty of time to recover because I only hit it once a week, however, I do realize that there is a lots of secondary muscles that get trained more than once a week. It is really common in with all the bodybuilding programs.
