Well, it's kinda like this.
I went to see the hunky sports doc. This is what he told me...
I have a synovial cyst in my knee, and focal nodular synovitis in the anterior compartment which is behind the PCL. Say that three times fast.
He recommended a steroid shot to see if that calms it down. If that doesn't help, then off to the ortho I go.
So, I got my knee injected yesterday, which wasn't all that bad. But today that boogar has ached. I have to "take it easy" for a couple of days, ice as needed. Then I can start doing some mild working out, after a week I can try my powerlifting again. I am supposed to call him back in two weeks if it doesn't help.
So. There ya go. No meniscus or cruciate ligament damage, which is good. There is some signs of osteoarthritis, but that was a given, I am 40 and my knees have taken a beating.
Swimming will be good therapy, if I can chase the brats out of the pool long enough. I told Meagan and Katie that I am going to sell season passes to their friends for swimming. Gotta pay for the chemicals one way or another.
Have a great one!

glad to hear there isn't any damage to the outer parts but it still stinks that you have to get a shot. Hopefully that is the only one.
My neighbor says the same thing about her pool! But I have a season pass!!!! I helped to dig the hole for the pool and helped to put the rock around it too! I have a life time seasonal pass. LOL My kids have to pay though! Just kidding......I would go broke!

Glad to hear it isn't something major and they have a plan on treatment. Hopefully the shot works and then no need for removal. Swimming is so good.. I need to get over my bathing suit fears and just do it. Maybe next month. I'm down just over 30lbs now and fitting into smaller sizes. I've had no joint pain with exercise which has been nice.. I'm also not working out as hard though. I'm now doing gym every other day and just some minor walks on the opposite days. Seems to be a good balance for me right now.
