I know I am pre op but I am trying to lose weight until I can get the surgery done.......today there was some more bad news in the health department....for my husband this time..... AND WHAT DID I DO? YOU ASK.................................. Lets just say bread became my companion to deal with the stress. I know you can still stress eat after surgery....so I am asking how do you cope with stress now?? I don't know if anyone ate because of stress, but now is the time when I really need help. I fell off plan and tonight as of right now....I could give a crap whether I got back on or not! Losing weight is an extremely important thing right now! Basically life or death! Sorry to gripe an moan and complain, but I am not sure where else to turn. Most people do not understand, but you guys were there and I am sure at least one other person has to be dealing with stress!!! If you can give any suggestions please let me know. Tammy

Hey Tammy: wow...was i a stress eater!!! i totaly understand how your feeling. I'm still a bit new so i can't give much advice, but i can say that i am trying to learn how to deal with the feelings, cause eating doesn't seem to work anymore. Food (at least at this time) doesn't hold the same pleasure that it once use to. I've set up an appointment with a therapist although i haven't seen her yet. I've also gotten a couple of self help books to help me learn to understand myself. Just a couple of suggestions. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. Best of luck to you both! T~

Stress can be reduced by exercise. But exercise is not pleasurable sometimes Also you will find a substantial increase in your sex drive after surgery. ....So I think that sex is a great way to relieve stress, unfortunately my wife does not share that same opinion on sex reducing stress. I say have sex instead of food as a stress reducer .

JJJOOOOHHHHNNNN!!!!! I think you have been talking to my husband! I think you guys set me up! I will have to let my husband see your post about the increase in sex drive. He would probably refinace the house immediately! But I did get to go to the gym today and I am going to post my workout! I do feel much better. I wonder what that mean for tonite???? Hmmmm....

Tammy, If your husband knew what was comming, he would sell the house to pay for the sugery. No one ever talks about it, but your libedo goes thru the roof. It can be a real problem. But the good thing is that sex has no calories

As a woman I can tell you YES the libido DOES increase for women too!!!! not only are you more energetic and happy with loosing weight - but you're feeling more confident in you body as it slims down! Enjoy it!!!! trust me - it only gets better!!!!

I have talked to many women and many men and it happens to most of us..... Not all of us. There are a few unlucky ones that experience a drop in libido. Tell hubby to get ready for lots of wild sex and many new positions that were not attainable in the larger sizes. Tell him that it is a medical necessity to reduce the stress eating. For us guys, the penis actually gets bigger because there is less "padding" down there (added bonus for the guys). Maybe its just an optical illusion because tummy is smaller
