Hi Tammy, I am exhausted from just reading all you have done today! I think I will head to , and hope I can get up and walk tomorrow. I have to really push myself to get it in everyday, but it is a start. Sandy

Whoo hoo .. nice job! I'm getting my walks in here and there but nothing to much yet. Have a horrid cold and congestion right now. I went to the mall earlier to walk around and was practically falling asleep on my feet so we went home after we had lunch. For lunch we went to Ruby Tuesday. My first experience eating out since my surgery. I did start to explore a little with some soft foods although I'm not officially on soft until another couple days. I had a couple teaspoons of queso, about 2oz of mashed potatoes, and about 2oz of french onion soup, even had a couple bites of the melted cheese on top and just chewed like crazy. It was a nice change from my tired strained soups and went down just fine. Yesterday we went to the movies and saw Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Loved the movie. Hated my husband eating a huge mound of nachos next to me and the smell of the popcorn as well as not being able to chew the free Juicy Fruit gum they were handing out. Haha! I did well though. I sipped on some lemonade nectar protein powder. I did have that "I feel like I am in the twilight zone - what have I done to myself" feeling. It passed though. I just reminded myself of all the great reasons why the food wasn't worth it and my health was. Did you guys have a lot of those moments when you first got back into the real world after surgery?

Stacy...congrats on walking while you were sleeping...thought I was the only one who did that! Isn't that what they call sleep walking.....bad joke I know, I know. Sometimes my cheesy jokes come off even cheesier when they are written Or typed down. I am glad you can see that the phase with the food is just that "a phase" I was with Steve alot when he went through it. Sometimes it just helps to talk to someone who will listen to you cry and not try "to fix it all". If you need an ear email me and I will give you my phone #. I have 2 ears and one mouth. They tell me God made us that way on purpose......so we could listen twice as much as we talk.

Thanks Tammy! You are too funny. Dana has been a huge help but I think unless you have seen someone go through it or have gone through it yourself its hard to understand what it is like. I've been really moody too the last two days with the cold and all. He has stayed supportive and sweet the whole time. I don't know how he does it.
