It's a Freak Show!

Hey guys! WOW what a weekend we had. I am so exhausted, but had a great time getting there! We did get to see Arnold, not as close as we used to in years gone by, but he was there. Earl has posted some pictures on our picture trail site, which is www.picturetrail.com/powerliter21. Some of the pictures you will see are from the Atomic Night of Power, which was held in an adjacent hotel where "normal" guys do amazing feats of strength. I even tried my hand at a couple of things...I am stronger than I thought!! I did the contest at the show, holy cow...I could only hold those pails for 26 seconds...seemed like an eternity, Earl did 46. But, we got to meet Bill Kazmier "Kaz" from the Worlds Strongest Man competitions and even had a mini interview on stage as a husband wife team thing. Really cool! Also there is a picture of a young man without arms and legs. He does weight training and has a book coming out in August..."No excuses" I am looking forward to that, he is a very inspirational young man. I found $5 on the groud too. Imagine that...free lunch too boot! We tried some good and not so good protein samples. We watched Olympic Lifting, the WPO powerlifting competition, and the Strongest Man competition. There is just so much to see and do it really takes 3 days to get it in. So, we put another year behind us and countdown to the next time. There was a shirt there that kind of summed it up "What seems superhuman to you is normal to us" I love it. Back to the grind tomorrow...hope you all had a great weekend. Val
