Off again.. on again.. off again

My workouts are so inconsistent. I made it to the gym Tuesday and that has been it. I just feel out of steam and so drained lately. I have been working more so that could be part of it. Then of course there was the back and forth roller coaster with my HR department. My diet is off too. I got into that "last meal mode I dont care mood" last night. I wasn't even stressed out or tired. I just made the decision to make crappy choices and justified it in my head by thinking this is the last time I am eating like this! Did you guys get in these moods pre-op? On the positive side I've been making more progress with the WLS approval. I am going to a seminar on March 8th to meet my new surgeon and learn about his program. On March 15th I have my inital consult. On April and early April I scheduled pre-op with the hopes of having surgery at the end of April. My HR department says once every thing is submitted I should be approved. I will hear something any day now. Since I've not been working out as much I have had no knee or ankle issues.

Hi Stacy, I know how it can be to stay consistent with the work-outs, it can be challenging! I seem to get going really good for a couple weeks then slack off for a couple weeks. Good Luck on your upcoming surgery, I hope all goes well for you. I had the same moods and eating habits before surgery. I was in "last meal mode" and wanted to eat everything I could get my hands on! What I've since realized is that I can eat all those favorite foods that I used to enjoy , I just can't eat as much of them, which frankly sucked at first, but I've grown to like since I've lost a lot of weight. Before I had surgery someone on the main board posted that people that go into last meal mode before surgery are less likely to be successful. I stressed when I read that, but what I've learned is that "last meal mode" is completely normal. Don't feel bad about it! Hope this helps,, Craigerzz 379/270/200

Heya Craigerzz - Thanks for your post. It is so true - I completely stress out about the ups and downs with my food intake. Maybe I just need to relax and let everything fall into place. I try to eat healthy most of the time. The slip here and there doesn't bug me but when I get a string of 2 or 3 days in a row of unhealthy meals or overeating combined with not getting to the gym I start to worry. Congrats on your success.. all the weight you have lost is amazing. Wow!!
