But I am not losing hope. My ins won't cover my wls! We own our own business in Maryland. Md ins law states that small business insurance does not have to cover wls. So guess what???? Our ins decided not to cover it. This bites the big one. My pcp and Dr VR both want me to keep my appt for monday. I will go but I don't understand why. They cover the consultation but not the surgery???? I cried all day yesterday. had to go to my pcp yesterday and I cried telling her what happened. She asked me if I needed an antidepressant??!!! What ???? I just found out yesterday....nonononono!!! I just needed to cry yesterday. I am a little more in control today. On a higher note, because we own our own business and our ins renewal comes in april....We are looking into another ins co. that covers wls. We have to get together with our ins broker and start looking into wls. So I am asking all to pray that we find a small business ins co that allows wls. I definately fit the criteria! Hopefully it will be sooner than later! Meanwhile I will go to a nutritionist and start the 6 month process of being on a "weight loss diet".... Thanks for the prayers! Tammy

It's amazing how one good cry makes them think you need anti depressants! Good grief! I am glad you saw that you just needed a good ol cry! I am there with ya. Ask your insurance broker about pre exisiting conditions. If you have your appt and they refer you to have surgery before you switch insurances, they may not want to pick you up because of that. Just some food for thought. I don't know what I would do, part of me says keep the appt, and the other part says wait until you get a new company, because they may have different requirements. Sorry, I know that doesn't help much. There's a reason for everything, just keep that in mind. Hard pill to swallow, but it always seems to be true. Hang in there with us, keep posting and we will keep supporting you. April isn't too far away. Definately start the weight loss program because that seems to be a universal theme with them anymore! GOOD LUCK!!! Val
