I am now in the process of being diagnosed with full blown diabetes instead of insulin resistance due to pcos. My aunt just went into the hospital because of diabetes. She has an ulcer on her leg that is all the way to the bone! I don't want to wait! I want the surgery now!!!! This is crazy. I was okay with the wait until now. I started to bawl when I called Dr. Von Rueden to make sure I had all my ducks in a row. Cherie was so compassionate! Now that I puked that out typing, I feel a little better! Thanks! Tammy

Yikes Tammy. So sorry to hear about that. At least you know the WLS usually gets this under control. I hear you on wanting surgery now. It is all I can think about. I sent another letter to my HR department but no response. I feel so stuck and helpless. I wish I could do something more than sit around and wait to hear if they are going to help. Right now I feel like crawling under the covers and getting in a good cry but I need to make it through work for a few more hours. If I can't get a decision soon I'm probably going to need a referral to go to an orthopedic for my knees, start taking some BP medication, and go see an endocrinologist to see if they can confirm my suspicions on the PCOS. I feel like my life and health is just on hold. F... INSURANCE COMPANIES! /vent off ahh that feels a little better

Stacy are you going to look for a different Dr.?? If you do do you have to start all over again? I want this done so bad.....It really sucks that you have to depend on an insurance company that thinks about profit margins first! Sorry you and I both have to go through this crap! It sucks!!!!! Tammy I love the /vent off LOL

I can't do anything. I can't even switch right now because that probably would just further complicate the situation. I have paperwork**possibly** sitting in a case at BC/BS. I think they just will need to reopen it if my HR will help. If not, yes, I will need to start all over again with a new surgeon/program. I will probably try your surgeon if I can't get Schweitzer.
