Hey guys. I've been awol for awhile, sorry. now...something terribly shi**y has happened. My dog Freddy has been missing since Saturday. It's been as low as 5 degrees out and I am just sick. He squeezed his way between the fence and the house, something he has NEVER even attempted in 4 1/2 years. dumb dog. He has ID tags with my number, address, and the word "REWARD" in big letters. He has a microchip in him, even. Vets and shelters usually scan lost critters for the chips. I have papered my neighborhood, driven and walked all over, placed an ad in the paper and on petfinders.com. LAter I am headed to Animal Control (they were closed sunday and monday for mlk). Any other suggestions? On the good news list: my BMI is down to 39.9 and I met a cool guy last week at my friend's birthday party. I'd still rather have Freddy back safe and sound, though.

aww =( That is terrible. I am so, so sorry about your dog. Keep posting the pictures and going door to door. Did you get your dog from a breeder? Sometimes they are the experts on setting traps to get back dogs using owners clothes, etc. I know our sheltie breeder gets called in every once in a while to assist with owners that have lost her dogs. One time my yellow headed amazon parrot, Max, flew away when we had the front door open. I thought we would never see him again. Two weeks later he turned up at a neighbors house that looked similar to ours. We were running ads in the local paper and they reponded to the ad.

I am so sorry. My mom went through this too. She had posted ads everywhere, and a lady from the water dept (out reading meters) found her and took her to the animal shelter. But she was gone for about 3 days, and mom had just moved into that neighborhood, so I will hope and pray that a good samaritan finds your doggie and turns him in somewhere. I think you've done what you can. I hope he comes home. Let us know what happens. I know it kinda overshadows your AWESOME BMI, but that is great! And met a guy huh? Ok, we need details, lots of juicy details! BIG HUG Val

Wow, I'm really sorry that your dog is missing! That would devastate me! My doggies are family! I have a springer spaniel and a dalmatian, both aging now. The dalmatian is 9 going on 10 yrs old, and the springer is 8 going on 9. I hope that Freddy finds his way home soon! With kindest regards, Donna E. www.teklawgirl.biz
