Well Earl, you have inspired me to start weight lifting. I have a Total Gym at home I have started using but I also have a membership to a gym that I have been using for the treadmill and bikes only. It's time to try out the machines and free weights
So here I go. I have heard 3 sets of 12 reps is a good start. Is this right for a beginner? Should I do arms, legs and abs on separate days or all of them on the same day just a few of each body section? Should I work out every other day? I have heard your muscles need to heal a day before working them again.
Any advice for a total beginner?
