Wednesday's workout
Well, this is kind of lame, as I don't have my worksheet with me to actually tell you what I did (a la Earl and Val), but I can tell you that:
I did my 30 minutes of hill walking at work (I am so loving my MP3 player and the weather lately )
When I got home I did a weight lifting session for an hour solid. I have added a few exercises (cable rows, lateral raises, and something else I forget right now) that I like to the workout Earl designed for me, and have graduated to doing 2 sets of each exercise.
I was SO pumped when I finished. My friend Thomas called as I was finishing my very last set and when I called him back a few minutes later, I was nearly manic. He's a great friend; so supportive and is so happy for me and proud of what I am doing for myself- it just warms my heart.
Anyway...the thing that dawned on me last night is that I have already met one MAJOR goal of mine: I like exercise again and am looking foward to it each day. I had this feeling a year ago and let it slip away. I truly feel fortunate (as well as a little proud of myself) to have regained love of movement and activity for myself.
have a great day kids!

Annie I am really proud of you too! AND MAJORLY JEALOUS!!! I wish I had the time to do my stuff everyday. I try so hard to get my workouts in and I get them in every single chance I get, but it seems that with the kids and all the problems and schedules to keep I am never home and when I do get home it is time to eat and go to bed. I am lucky to get a good 6 hours sleep most nights, which isn't enough...
wwwaaaaaaahhhhh
Sorry, pity party there!
It is an AWESOME feeling. I love it, total natural high baby! That is why I miss it when I can't get my workouts in. The goal now is to try to get three a week. Sometimes I can't sometimes I can't. So, I try to make up for it by taking the stairs at work, walking the extra distance...etc. At least I am moving the ol body. I am thinking about joing the wellness center which is affiliated with our hospital and is close to work, they have a nice gym and a therapeutic pool, and I could swing by on the way home from work.
Ok, rambled long enough!!! Great job sweetie! I am super proud of you! Walk and work out a little for me too!!
