Earls killer workout
Ok gang. I have decided I do much better with a personal trainer than I do on my own.
Since I am literally married to one (I am trying to convince him that he needs to be one) I figure I might as well reap the benefits of getting "free" training sessions. Well, I have my own "dues" if you know what I mean! The rates here are the best I have come across in a long long time!
At any rate, he worked me harder than I have ever pushed myself and it was great. I got a good workout and I helped him with his technique on how to work his clients. So, here goes:
Warm up stretching...a must, always stretch....it feels awesome to stretch it out, man I think that is one of my favorite parts.
I learned how to do the power clean, and power snatch last night. I just used the bar, and it was AWESOME! Man, I could see my shoulders, traps and arms working in the mirror. I think Earl has hooked me on a new one.
Power snatches 45# x6
Power Cleans 45# x6 x3
Deadlifts (from the ground)
111# 2 sets of 3, one set of wide stance, one set of narrow stance
133# same as above
153# 1 of each wide and narrow. To me this is almost depressing. When I competed I was pulling 260# with out as much straining as I did on the 153!! But at least I know I can get back up there.
Back rows AND THIS IS WHERE HE KICKED MY ASS!!!
25# warm up set
50# x12
75# x8
85# x 4
85# for a breakdown set.
HOLY GOD I was begging for mercy, but when he called me a "girl" that was all she wrote. Anger is a good tool to use when working out.
Then, lastly shrugs. And Mike this one is for you! I started saying "I dunno?" And was giggling like crazy (trying to mask the pain) and Earl finally got it!
DB Shrugs and Diesel shrugs supersets. I started with 15# but had to drop to 10#.
WHEW. Just typing it out makes me tired all over again. After that I went in, watched Big Brother, and fell asleep watching American Chopper dreaming of my Harley. Man it kicked my ass. He's gonna make one helluva personal trainer one day...and he's MINE ALL MINE....I'M RICH....I'M A HAPPY MISER.....
Hope everyone is enjoying this weekend. The weather here is awesome.
Right on Sister! That sounds awesome.
I need to find me a hunky personal trainer, doncha think?
Couple off topic things....
1) Please fill me in on Big Brother! I went over to my friend Christy's last night for a girl night and missed it. I am such an addict!
2) Guess what we did? Our third girlfriend, Peggy, a new addition from Atlanta (Christy found her at the DMV, seriously!) cut my hair and it's the best haircut I have ever had! We were just going to add some layers and try to make it less "poodle-y" but ended up cutting it way shorter, layered and kind of hiked up in back. I must say, I look pretty damn good. I need to figure out something nice to do for her since she wouldn't take $$.
3) Guess what else? I bought an MP3 player to take on my walks! It is so cool. I am busy ripping and transfering a bunch of my CD's right now and am about to go looking online for downloads. Welcome me to the brave new world, please!
Going for a walk in a bit with the girls.
Excellent job, Val!! (I meant on marrying well, but good workout, too )

Thanks! I think I did pretty good on both!
I changed my hairstyle, my clothes style, and you name it. Everything. Man it felt great.
Check out my profile. Earl spruced it up a bit. Added more pictures. I am impressed!
As for Big Brother. Well, bascially in a nut shell, Drew got HOH and put Nakomis and Diane up on the block. I don't think Drew likes Diane, in the way that Diane likes Drew. Altho, I think he would rather go to the final two with her because nobody likes her and they would vote for him to win against her. If Nakomis wins Veto, then they are all screwed.
Keep up the good work! Glad you are enjoying your new emerging self. Nice huh?
