You rock, Val!
After all our talk yesterday about my future workouts, I was inspired to go for a walk. I realized my energy is really getting better, especially when I move more, duh.
At around 4pm I got up from my desk and went for a walk outside. The building I work in is on a HUGE hill. I walked down the hill and up another one to the nearby subdivision, then back to work. It was great- I huffed, I puffed, I sweated a little (it was near the end of the day, so I didn't worry about being stinky) and felt great when I got back to work. I never take a lunch break anymore, so I feel entitled to check out for a walk, right? I also never take coffee or cigarette breaks, of course.....
Then when I got home I decided to take the dogs for a walk. they were so excited I swear I was lucky Charlie's head didn't pop off!! We only did once around the little park by my house, but it was something. Their excitement was great, but oddly it made me feel guilty for not doing it more often. That is about to change! It's not a steady workout for me, because they PULLLL, then STOP to read their pee-mail, and they pull in different directions too. So, maybe I get some resistance training after all!
I'm planning on doing my hill-walking again today- it's GORGEOUS out!
have a great one!
