Missed three days of work...

Missed three days of workouts due to this very bad sinus infection. My head still feels like it weighs 30 pounds. My teeth ache, my ears ache. I need to get to the doctor for some antibiotics. I did run 3 miles this morning, but I don't know that I should have. To top it off, my OB/GYN called to let me know I have a dermoid cyst on? my ovary that needs to be removed. What's the good news, you ask? Well, the puppy only had one accident today. Thanks, guys, for letting me rant. I did tell you that I get cranky when I don't hit the weights. So do an extra set or two for me tomorrow. Hugs, Chris

Chris, I think this week is contagious. I have had a HORRIBLE week. You name it, it happened. I am battling the same thing I think. Are you sure we aren't the same person this week? I didn't do my work out last night because I was sick. I won't tonight either. And for once in my life I am NOT going to feel guilty about it. If you work out when you are sick, you will just kill your immune system. Hang in there. Next week has to be better, right? Cheers, Val

Chris, I'm so sorry you are feeling so bad. How in the world you ran with your head hurting like that is a mystery to me! I'm in awe. I have PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) but no cysts, which I'm glad for as I've heard they can be painful. Never heard of a dermoid one...sounds like skin, but what do I know? Hope it's not hurting you and that the removal process won't put you out too much. On the lighter side...only one accident from the pup? AWESOME! Do we have a name for him/her yet? (I might have missed that post) Hang in there!

Annie, My new son's name is Bear. I already I cannot remember what it was like without him. He is so sweet, poop and all. You are correct about the prefix derm meaning skin. I hesitate to post this, but here goes. Just think Sigourney Weaver in Alien. A dermoid cyst contains hair, skin cells, and teeth. It's like cells that have gone crazy. Kind of like the Girls Gone Wild series only this is Cells Gone Wild, although I am sure it wouldn't sell as well. My ob/gyn says it's like an egg acting as if it is fertilized but it isn't. Strange, huh? I am sure it is an outpatient procedure. Maybe even drive-through, the way the insurance industry is going. I will keep everyone posted. And my motto still is, "My worst day post-op is still better than my best day pre-op." Hugs, Annie, and keep up the fantastic job you're doing. Chris
